What is wrong with my cuba gold?

I've bought two bottles of the stuff now, keep it in a drawer out of light at room temperature and both bottles smell BOOZY as heck not at all like the first day i got both of them.

Every other bottle in my collection is fine except for these two.
I only have cheapies; Animale Animale and Adidas Victory League so I know it's the cuba gold that's going bad.

For the price of Cuba Gold don't wouldn't sweat it. Just get another bottle. Better Cuba Gold going bad than something rare and expensive.

Not worth fretting over Cuba Gold IMO.

why does it keep gonig bad though, it lasts literally like a week!?

I doubt it's gone bad in a week. It's a Cuba fragrance, it's supposed to smell bad.

I think Gold smells great. Strange that it would perish like that.

I like Cuba Gold and have had a bottle for about 4 years now. Storage has been in my wardrobe at tropical temperatures. Nothing has gone wrong with it so far.

Not the best fragrance to start off with in the first place, IMO; however, I think they generally have a very boozy quality to them. Wouldn't worry about, I've never had a fragrance turn bad.

I don't really get a boozy smell out of mine, but I do get a prominent earthy vetiver note. I prefer 360 White & Le Male as they have more vanilla and powder while Cuba Gold is more earthy & woody. Maybe it's this vetiver note you're detecting.
