Creed Royal Oud and Gucci II

Am I the only person that finds them similar? Seems the Creed is Gucci II with the cinnamon note toned down. They give me the same vibe. One more reason not to buy my first Creed scent. Lol

No, I find them somewhat similar also, but different enough to justify owning them both. I always felt that Royal Oud seems to have more of a tea note than Oud note, but while having a similar vibe to other tea fragrances, it is distinctive enough - and a very nice fragrance IMO.

Own both but don't see the similarity at all.

I used up my Gucci II a while ago but my memory recalls a similar dry down. Yes, different because of a more pronounced cinnamon in Gucci but the creed gives a tea vibe similar to Gucci II. Can someone test? Really trying to justify avoiding Creed

So I'm not going crazy

No similarity to me at all.

I don't think so. I think Royal Oud is a much better fragrance as well.

Testing Royal Oud again right now from my sample, and the association I'm getting, at least in the beginning, is with Memoir Man -- a sort of balmy green sweetness. Interesting.
