I have picked out perhaps some of the more obscure Caron's.
Which is your favourite, and why ?

My wife used to use Montaigne. Asked if she liked it. Said yes.

Voted En Avion but could have chosen three or five others. Brillian house.

I chose Aimez moi because it is so complex in it's development and I like violet notes.

other favorites

Infini
Nuit de noel
Parfum Sacre
Narcisse Noir
Nocturnes

Tried En Avion. Pretty good.

En Avion! It's absolutely dashing!
I love Acaciosa, too. Or et Noir is probably the best dark rose perfume ever with the distinctive Caron Marron Glacé drydown. Pois de Senteur and N'aimez que moi are lovely as well.

I've chosen Infini cause I love it; is impossible to say which one is better among so many great ones for me.

From the list, En Avion is my favourite.
Tabac Blond ( not mentioned ) rocks, too.
The rest I'm ambivalent about, though appreciate the quality.

I voted for Acaciosa, the combination of jasmine and pineapple is just fantastic. Pois de Senteur is a great variation of Acaciosa, and Farnesiana would have been my third pick.

I am a little surprised that Nocturnes is not faring better !

I, like others, haven't tried any of these. Well, I think I sampled Alpona but honestly I cannot remember a thing about it, so it must have flew right over my head.

Of course, I love Tabac Blond but more recently I tested vintage Nuit de Noel parfum and fell in absolute love for it.

Statements about Caron should always come with a specification of concentration (parfum, edt) and vintage.

I voted for Acaciosa - perhaps, the fact that it's only in parfum helps. As it often happens with Caron parfums, the first five minutes are gorgeous. Rich, with an oily feel that's at once dirty and irresistible. The first day it seemed to go on like this. Another time I wore, I noticed a disturbing, clean, soapy orange blossom note (regrettably common in Caron) threatening to obliterate the rest of the frag. I need to try again.

cacio
