Help needed in selecting from the list below from the Dubai Duty Free. Items below are listed by brand, along with size & price in US $. I don't mind floral, but I wouldn't want it to dominate. Also, if any of the below are imitations of western parfums, I'll leave those out as well. I have about a week to decide, I thank you in advance for your responses!

Of those listed I've tried Woody EDP and I thought it was quite nice. Interesting presentation too. I think I tried Kalemat too and found it pleasant enough and I'm quite sure that Al HARAMAIN White Leather (or was it white suede?) was utterly horrible. One of the few frags I've had to wash off. Stay away!

Do yourself a favour and check out the cosmetics store opposite the Lindt chocolate counter.

It sells many different types of cosmetics but it also has a few shelves of local frags. Many of them are knock-offs of popular stuff but in between these there are some great UAE produced frags, very cheap too.

I found these very satisfying and got two 100ml EDP Arabian style bottles for less than $30. I sprayed one of these cheapies on one wrist and an Amouage on another, I asked one of my companions which she preferred and it turned out to be the $13 sandalwood style frag! The other is very Tuscan Leather like.

Never tried any of these. Most of them sound good though.

@ Chopwet - Wish I was the one buying...Its my sister who is getting in to Dubai, so this is more of a blind buy (& she hates me spending so much $$$ on parfums). Of the one's I listed, I've sampled probably 2 yrs back from Al Haramain & Arabian Oud collection, its too vague in my memory, hence the post and request for feedback from all at BN.

If this will be your first Oudh purchase, then I would stay away from almost all of these. The ones you mentioned above are Oudh heavy fragrances - certainly not for the faint hearted.

However, if you do want to venture into lighter Oudh fragrances, then the Designer Shaik's No. 77 and Oudh Boutique's Afgano Rouge and Royal Leather might be more plateable. In terms of the companies you mentioned above, Ajmal is a very reputed company with the best bang for the buck - but, I haven't tried the ones you mentioned above for Ajmal.

For the non-Oudh heavy eastern influenced fragrances, I would certainly give amouage my recommendation. A non-froral and leather/tobacco dominant fragrance in the Amouage lineup is Epic Man. Reflection Man is a safe bet as well.

@ RSharma314 - This isn't my first Aoud purchase, have a few Amouage's & many Montale's as well, a few attar's came in as a decant gift as well last yr (manufacturer not known).
And I am definitely looking for Aoud heavy frags...

I'm not familiar with those really.

I mostly wear pure oud oil.

try Ajmal Exclusive only at Airport

http://www.ajmalperfume.com/travel_r...ves-catident-2

I own Accord Boise and Accord Violet each cost around $70 , The Accord boise really great non-sweet spicy coffee scent! Or Unveil extremely spicy scent....

please aware that all the lists on Dubai duty free PDF file are not always available They hardly updated. Try Email them first they reply pretty fast.

Enjoy!
