Pure leather instead of A*men?!? HELP

Hey, basically i smelt amen and i hate the tar note, errr it makes me feel sick.

BUT, i love the chocolate dry down and the caramel smell.

I really want to smell like that but dont want to get amen cos of the tar note.

However, ive heard pure leather is a*men without the tar??

Is pure leather worth buying? Will it mean i can have that amazing chocolate scent without the tar???

Appreciate any feedback?

Also, will pure leather be good for someone still in the teens and be appealing to people 16 - 19+

Pure Leather is like the Original A*Men without the tar note. Since you hate the tar note, give PL a try!

I cant smell the tar note in A*Men and Pure Leather smells identical enough that I won't shell out the bucks for a clone flanker.

i found the opening of pure leather to be tar-less like others have said. it is as close to a*men you can get out of the flankers.

so would you say you could spray this on and leave the house straight away without smelling like tar and leave the house smelling smooth, choc and caramel etc???

The top notes aren't the exact same as A*Men but it'll still take a little time to get to the dry down.

Before you go and buy PL, I would suggest picking up a bottle of Animale Animale which smells exactly like Amen with without the tar note, and is a fraction of the price. Seriously, they are almost Identical except for the tar note.

hmmm very tempting but i would have to blind buy and from reviews its more mature smelling? whereas pure leather has a more versatile age range? (from what ive heard on reviews)

I prefer the tar note in A men but I also wear Animale Animale when I want something less complicated. Ive been wearing Animale Animale since I was 25 btw.

Try Rose Anonyme by Atelier Cologne.

I found it very similar to A*Men sans the nauseating burned caramel note.

You'll get somewhat odd but not necessarily unpleasant leather/coffee top notes instead. If that will please you, only you can know. Personally I prefer the original.

Animale Animale has a lot of Pure Havane in the opening and has the A*men dry down. Go on Fragrantica and look at the comparisons. There's a ton of people that feel the same way.

I find PL very, very similar to the original. If you are looking for something dissimilar to the original, look into Havane, Malt, or Animale Animale.
