Which Frag gives you the that extra confidence?

I wore Rive Gauche today for meetings (I'm in Sales) and its actually gave me a spring in my step and gave me a real feeling of extra confidence.

And I got a compliment (which barely ever happens!)

What say you?

A lot of them, but two that come to mind are Aventus and Dior Homme Intense.
wearing Aventus makes me feel like a virile taurus beast man.

As good as Vanilla and Spice gets with a load of class thrown in. Did you get the EdP?

Nah got the EDT. Was only £19.95 for 50ml on cheapsmells. Have you tried them both? Much difference?

Pretty much anything in my wardrobe gives me not so much what might be defined (only) as confidence, but far more such an overall wellbeing whcih might, in turn lead to additional confidence.

I feel confident wearing anything I choose from my collection.

Yatagan gives me that "I'm not screwing around" kind of feel. If I feel like I'm going to have a day with some confrontation, it's my first pick. It's a very confident frag.

Black Jeans by Versace

Some of my frags still give me a hint of self-consciousness when I wear them, but with these 4 I feel like I can take on anything.
Hm, self-consciousness or self-confidence? Sometimes a scent gives me self-consciousness when I feel I applied too much or I fear it might be perceived as in the face masculine.

So, I rather get self-confidence when it is a personal scent, not loud. I wear it for myself as my secret source of pleasure. Or just a light aura that people might perceive as attractive without identifying that it is a perfume that I'm wearing.

Also, some old classics somehow make me feel confident, wiser and sophisticated.'l'heure bleue for example.

Au contraire. I already have that extra confidence to wear some of the stuff in my wardrobe.
A few that spring to mind: Balafre by Lancome, New York by PdN, Derby by Guerlain.

Aventus is Aventus it exudes confidence.

GPHII this fragrance just relaxes me so much, and gives me a extra bop in my step, I love it!

Several replies are like ^^this^^ but those don't answer the OP's question: "Which frag gives you . . . that extra confidence?" (emphasis added). While I have several, Santa Maria Novella's Potpourri makes me feel old world wise and experienced beyond my years.

Frederic Malle Vetiver Extraordinaire. Just really suits me, and I walk a bit taller knowing I smell great.

I am confident without fragrance. However, for a pick-me up, I like MI, Molecule 01, Tom Ford Man, Italian Cypress, GIT, Hinoki, Vince Camuto, etc.

Clive Christian X.
Green Irish Tweed. I know I'll smell better than anyone I come across, and nobody will dislike what I'm wearing.

On a sidenote: GIT and MI are the only two colognes that I've worn for a while that have never, even for a moment, caused me to think: "You know, I wish I hadn't worn this one."

I don't know if a particular scent gives me extra confidence. But I'm confident enough to wear Aramis! That was anything but self evident
post #35 of 42
I guess you guys need to make room for me on the Aventus bus. Dang that thing is crowded. Haha

I also feel really classy when wearing Tobacco Vanille, so I guess that could translate into confidence too. Although, I think my trips to the gym do more for my confidence than cologne ever could.

+1. Totally agree with this.

1. Dior Homme-2012 version: Instant upgrade to how I'm feeling...like I just got bumped to first-class seating on Delta.
2. Silver Mountain Water: Confidence that no one else will smell anything like me and I will stand out for uniqueness.
3. Givenchy Play Intense: best gourmand I ever bought, men and women compliment me on this one equally.
4. Platinum Egoiste: Just gives me the feeling of being Gordon Gekko from Wall Street.
5. Bleu De Chanel: Crowd pleaser for a reason, I am confident in any situation with this "go to" scent. It smells great!
