Hi, all. I just noticed I have tried 199 fragrances since keeping track on Basenotes. I thought It would be fun to have you all decide what my 200th fragrance should be. take a look at my wardrobe, and see what I have tried. Give me a suggestion based on my ratings.

Thanks...Of course you can rearrange them by house or name or whatever...I have them decending by rating.

In my opinion, the best fragrance available!

No suggestions because that is so personal, but congrats for the number.

Wow. Very diverse wardrobe you got there, brotato. Some pricey ones too.
For under $30, may I recommend the clean, powerful, and very masculine VanCleef & Arpels PH? An exeptionally nice powerhouse frag.
Or for slightly more money, something equally clean-smelling with a bit of sweetness, Prada Amber PH.

You don't have to spend big money to smell fabulous!

You've tried a lot of vetivers but don't seem to like them, try Malle's Bois d'Orage (French Lover), it's the best green scent I've ever smelled including my beloved vintage Polo.

You are on a fast track . Awesome!! I would try a few more frags by Hermes.

Congrats on your 200th.

Now only 1294 until you catch hednic.

LOL, that will never happen, Hednic is in a class alone.

Perhaps a classic like Derby or Coriolan from Guerlain.
On the flip side, a sample of Omniscent from Yosh or Ambr'ero from Cerchi Nell'acqua

I'll second Derby. 200 is something to celebrate...

With my track record with Creed, probably not. I surprise myself that I own full bottles of GIT and Aventus as I am infamous around here for "Creed Bashing"

Derby sounds interesting...kinda like Stetson, the notes look promising

I love Montale, so this is a possibility...I may end up ordering several of the suggestions from TPC or STC.

Looked over Prada Pour Homme, it looks promising. I love a good leather fragrance.

A few suggestions based on your "tried" list: Angel, Mitsouko, Jicky, L'Air du Desert Marocain, Derby, Cuir de Russie, Beyond Paradise, Breath of God, Dzing!, Joy.

To me, Derby smells a bit like Bandit, so if you like the latter, check out the former.
Congrats! I think you should try a Creed. I hear they've got a great selection.

LOL I agree too...
CONGRATS to possumpie on the 200th, I am hoping to join that clubby April...As for a suggestion for your 200th, either french lover or tobacco vanille

200 frags sampled, wow...How long ago did you start keeping track? And where do you get your samples from?

You must try Tauer L'air du Dessert Marocain.

Just checked your wardrobe and saw a few amber based, so histories ambre 114 or serge lutens ambre sultan might be a choice, if u liked mona di orio try the Oud and Cuir, both are fabulous, on patchouli try for him narciso rodriguez...

I too am inclined to suggest another amber. Hermes Ambre Narguile.

Incense Oud by Kilian. Its celebratory like that.

You have not yet tried my favorite, Bandit (treeman mentions it too, but I don't see it in your tried list). Derby would work as well too (not that they are too similar, they are both leathers, but one is more butch).

Allow me to introduce to you one of Guerlain's legends, Mitsouko.

Or perhaps Histoires de Parfums Ambre 114 since you seem to enjoy ambers.
From your top 5 and also the 199 frags that you've tried.

the following would be great acquisition for your collection

1. Montale Dark Aoud - MdO Oud, RM Agar Musk
2. Mona d'Orio Vetyver - Chanel Sycomore
3. Bond no. 9 NY Amber - HdP Amber 114
Congrats!

Here are my suggestions, in no particular order:

Amouage Jubilation XXV
Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille
Tom Ford Tuscan Leather
Tom Ford Amber Absolute
- this one is discontinued, but a great amber fragrance IMO.
Tom Ford Oud Wood
Tom Ford Italian Cypress
L'Instant de Guerlain Extreme
MDCI Invasion Barbare
Kilian Back to Black
Kilian A Taste of Heaven
Kilian Rose Oud
Bond No. 9 New Haarlem

As you earlier mentioned, you're probably not a fan of Creed, but I figure I recommend these anyway:

Silver Mountain Water - one of my favorite fragrances of all time. Love the tea note in this.
Himalaya
Original Vetiver
Bois du Portugal
Selection Verte
- a great natural smelling mint fragrance.

possum, based on your liking of Priment Brulant and ambers, I would recommend Arquiste Anima Dulcis. It is not an amber, but a dry vanilla with cinnamon and chili! I would even supply the sample Go for it!
