tired of smelling sweet

Thread Starter
hey folks, i recently noticed most of my fragrances are on the sweet side, not all overly sweet but all either fruit or candy shop style scents. i want to try out a spicy woody or musky scent without the candy like scent. any suggestions?

Mugler Cologne by Thierry Mugler. It's the ultimate "fresh and clean" fragrance without being boring.

Piper Nigrum by Lorenzo Villoresi; mint and pepper, lots and lots of pepper. Invigorating or suffocating? It's worth trying.

Azzaro pour Homme
YSL Rive Gauche
Terre d'Hermes
Cratier Roadster

may all be worth testing

Welcome!

Caron Yatagan for dry woods. Also, most vetivers for dry fresh (eg Guerlain Vetiver or Tom Ford Grey Vetiver).

I agree with cacio: Yatagan is the man's cure for sweet. Man up, yataganize!

You need a good musk and patchouli scent like Narciso Rodriguez for him

Maybe Dirty English, CdG 2 Man, or Divine L'Homme Sage

FM's French Lover is what you need.

Kenzo Homme Boisee/ Guerlain Homme L'Eau Boisee. Lovely refreshing woody spring time scents that are absolutely not sweet.

Have a look at CdG Man 2 or Wonderwood.

Alternatively, Histoire de Parfum's Patchouli Noir or perhaps Narciso Rodriguez for him for something a little darker.

Man, I was reading the entire thread thinking no one has mentioned Wonderwood yet until the very end...so I'll add my +1 to Wonderwood, and CDG Man 2, but I don't have as much experience with it so my biggest suggestion goes to Wonderwood.
