17 year old respectable spring/summer scent

Thread Starter
My 17th birthday is coming up early march and I plan on making a cologne purchase. I want a spring/summer scent that is appreciated. That might sound weird, but i want a respectable scent. Nothing too mature, but I don't want to smell like candy(1 million). The two I am sampling are prada amber PH and terre d'hermes, I really like both and cant decide. I'll take any suggestions. I'd really like to stay away from aquatics. Thank you.

Any one of the following would be great for you

Terre d'Hermes
Dior Sport
Grey Vetiver

Try Creed Green Irish Tweed also, and happy birthday!

You have chosen wisely with Prada Amber Pour Homme.
I think it would be a great high school age scent.
I doubt anyone at your school will be wearing it,
and I can't imagine it being offensive.
It's a very clean, "respectable" scent in my opinion,
and more importantly, appropriate for your age group.

Terre D'Hermes is great as well, but it's a much more
"mature" scent in my opinion--and probably more expensive as well.
Your choice, but I'd go with Prada Amber and not look back.

Chanel Allure Homme

Citrus, woods and spice.

As mentioned in another thread, Guerlain Homme L' Eau Boisee is a lighter and younger version of Terre d' Hermes. TdH may feel a little heavy and ponderous for a 17 year old. For a more summery version of this go with Guerlain Homme L' Eau for a lime and mint woods scent - I recommend this one. Also Cartier Declaration L' Essence would be good for a young man.

young, energetic, full of life............GOOD LIFE by DAVIDOFF for day wear

Chanel Allure Edition Blanche- a real compliment getter and one of the best citrus scents on my skin.

I can think of no better cologne for your age than Allure Sport.

Prada Amber PH is a good choice. If you want something similar and less sweeter, try Mugler Cologne or Creed Original Vetiver.

Bergamotto Marino

Ck One. Good stuff from what I remember.

TDH is somewhat too mature smelling for you.
Try Live Jazz, Bvlgari Aqua PH or Dior Homme Sport.

-Gucci Pour Homme II- my vote goes to this. This will probably be the closest thing to a signature scent for me this spring/summer.
-YSl L'homme- works real well in the spring/summer, also good in the winter.

-TdH- too "mature". All I get from it is cedar anyway. I don't like Iso E Super.
-I think vetiver scents are a little old too.
-Creed Green Irish Tweed- its expensive. If I were to recommend a Creed for you, I would say Silver Mountain Water would work better for your age.

I agree with the Allure scents. Any of them would be fine.
