Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme...

I keep seeing this pop up as a great everyday wear and really want to try it. Should I buy a sample or just buy blind?

sample it first. its readily available at nordstrom sephora etc. I dont see what the big deal is with the scent, along with La Nuit but it sure has its fans.

I would sample it first to make sure it meshes with your taste. I personally found it horrendous and would never wear it, but many do indeed love the stuff.

If you're daring - buy blind.

I think there is a risk of being unhappy no matter what you blind buy, but I think L'Homme is one of the safest blind buys you can get. Still, though, sample if you can. Macy's, Sephora and all the big stores have testers of it.

I think it's a safe enough blind buy, but if you have the opportunity sample it...sample everything you can.

Try it first, since it's so readily available. It's not bad.

Nice frag. But to be on the safe side....Sample first.

This can be sampled almost anywhere. No sense in blind buying, even if it's a very safe and versatile fragrance.
sample for sure. you never really know what YOU are going to like.
Sample first because it is readily available.

L'Homme is the fragrance that really got me into the fragrance game, I loved it! I may wear it tomorrow, it just reminds me of my ex she loved this stuff on me.

I think it's a very sophisticated "meh". On me it has very little longevity and projection. It's quality for sure, and I can see it being someone's signature fragrance and others loving it. I just like it

It's a universally appealing fragrance but sample first.

If you characterize yourself as liking sweet, spicy, somewhat powdery scents then a blind buy might not be so bad. This is one of my favorites for work.

As far as blind buys go L'homme is certainly one of the safer ones.

L'homme is my girlfriends favourite of mine by far. She even sprays it on herself sometimes she likes it so much.

A very clean, safe scent that I doubt many people at all would actually dislike.

Ditto this. I definitely don't like it, but I don't dislike it either.

It smells really quite bland to me, it has no kick to it that would make it especially interesting.
La Nuit is slightly more interesting, but the whole YSL Homme line (LN, Gingembre, Frozen et al) leaves me really bored.

Had it. Swapped it. Very sweet and synthetic, doesn't last very long either. Not good.

Hard to smell. Very light

Just ordered this. Replacing my Chanel Bleu which I am bored with. Next buy is the best male cologne of all time - Angel Men.

I agree with most of the posters saying to sample it first, because you can see it almost everywhere. IMO, it is a very safe blind buy. It is light-weight, though, and doesn't have a lasting power, but it can be compensated by re-spraying/reapplication.
