Habit Rouge, Man

I've never smelled it, but I do have a bottle on the way. I know what it's supposed to smell like--orange blossom and oppoponax--but what is it really like? (Can you hear the doomed romantic anywhere in there?) Anyway, is it similar to Shalimar, Jicky, et. al?

It is a very nice scent, one that I'm sure you'll find quite pleasant.

When you receive it, let us know what you think.

It is a feminine cloying orgy in lemon and vanilla with no complexity, great longevity and projection. I can really not see why this is so talked about. A blind buy that went very wrong for me, hope you will enjoy it.

It didn't used to be remotely feminine!
Don't know it now 'though.

Yeah, OK. Maybe more on the unisex side, but not very masculine to my nose.

I've recently come to know the edt and the edp version, and they are really different. I prefer the edp, which is like magic to me in the dry down. In fact, I think it's great, where I don't really like the edt in its dry down. Anyway, I hope you like the one you ordered.

I own the EDT and to me, it smells nothing like what you say it's supposed to smell like. The opening might be slightly harsh but 15 minutes in, I'm in heaven. One of my favourite scents for sure.

I've only tried Shalimar once on my skin (need to get myself a bottle asap), and while I don't think Habit Rouge is identical, I can spot the similarities in the drydown.

My favourite perfume. It takes a real man to wear Habit Rouge with confidence!

I actually enjoyed it, but couldn't compare it much to any other Guerlain scent, as I didn't sense much resemblance with anything else by Guerlain. Nevertheless, a great classic of immense distinction, in my opinion.

I myself really LOOOOOOVE this one!
It smells old fashioned to me, in a nostalgic vibe.
I don't know really a close frag to it, somewhat unique to me!
Overall lovely!

Double post.

It smells like you drank a glass of orange juice, then drank too much milk, drove to a funeral, got sick at said funeral, threw up all over the corpse, then tried to hide your throw up by covering it with a bunch of condolence flowers.

Well, in that case, I know I'll love it.

thick, powdery lemon.

Good stuff, unless you dislike powdery scents.

So... you are sort of on the fence with this one?
