Spot the Fake and note the discrepancies :)

Once every few weeks we have customers who try to return fragrances they claim they bought from us, but have no receipt, box, proof of purchase or anything. I'm sure they know the bottles are fake and are just trying to come out ahead since the kiosk they bought them from does not take returns. We keep a few of these fakes for training purposes and for reference.

So in the pictures below are 2 bottles of Versace Pour Homme. One is fake, one is real (it is a tester)
Respond with which one you think is fake and detail the differences that make the fake a fake and the real one legit.
Hope you guys have fun

Cool what makes you say that?

Real one on the left...

Differences:

- Real has thicker glass at base.
- Juice colour.
- neck band embossed on real.
- faceted top of glass on real.
- deeper embossing on pusher of real one.

Mind the fake has a good chance of smelling better...

(ps: I have owned this... so all educated opinions...)

Yeah I've never owned a bottle of Versace PH, but I'd wager it's the juice on the right that's the fake.

- It doesn't have the text on the neck of the sprayer, nor the logo on the top.
- The badge looks a little off-kilt, the disc seems to have been rotated too much.
- The bottle on the left looks of higher quality - it has solid glass between the external edges and the inner chamber, as
opposed to having the liquid almost all the way to the edges.
- The top of the tube under the atomiser on the right looks to be metal, which would likely hang into the frag when it's full.

HOWEVER - because the real one is a tester, it may well be that the plainer bottle is the real stuff. I'm so confused

Nice You got quite a few of them. One thing I will say with this one is that the juice color does vary quite a bit even with the real ones. Most of that I think has to do with how full the bottles are and the faceting of the bottle, or it could just be different batches. We had 3 bottles out and all three were slightly different in color with the tester (which had been sprayed quite a bit) the most different of them all in terms of color.
And trust me, the stuff that comes out of the fake one is not better juice

Nice! Part of the reason I did this was to see what other people noticed that I had missed. A showed this to a customer earlier today and he noted the lack of logo on the top, which I missed before. I never really noticed the atomizer tube hanging low. No need to feel confused, you did quite well

The one on the right is fake because the Versace face looks suicidal.

The one on the right is the fake IMO.

I also vote for the one on the right. Is that filled with Windex?

It's good, but it's no Green Frich Tweed.
