Off to an auction today where there are several spectacular lots of perfume. As most people go for the furniture, jewelry or art, the box lots should be reasonable. Going to wear Dianthus.

Jon, I know Welney well. Nice day for a spot of birding ! Spot anything fancy ? I'm assuming there were plenty of swans still about.

Wore Fumerie Turque in the day, now settled down in plenty of Jicky ( thereby twinning with l'enfer ).
Hope all those who were under the weather are feeling better.

I TOTALLY hit the jackpot, mes amies!
First a 60ml bottle of Molinard de Molinard parfum, unopened, in the real Lalique crystal bottle
A large EDT of the same
Shalimar parfum 15ml
Shalimar EDP (pre-reform)
Boucheron EDP
Joy parfum 30ml
Tresor parfum 30ml (Plus a large edt spray, bath oil, lotion and a small parfum)
a few other things, but most wonderfully
Four packaged bottles of La Prairie's One Perfect Rose, including a 30ml parfum!
All for one money! I was bouncing off the walls with joy, or is it Joy!

Plenty of Whoopers with a few Bewicks and Mutes mingling. Nothing else out of the ordinary for the area apart from a pair of Avocets, but a good solid line-up all round. Managed an historic wander around Ely this afternoon - I may post a pic or two tomorrow.

Thanks, I was literally shaking with excitement! I never expected that the lot would be so great! Included too is a 200 ml body creme of YSL Champagne, before the name change. And several other large edts that were under the first layer (can you believe it layer) of boxes.

I had only sniffed One Perfect Rose once before and could not afford any at the time...then poof, gone like so much else. I think it was launched and vanished back in the 90s...it smells beautiful. I couldn't help but open one of the sprays...it really is a perfume holy grail

Sotd, La Violette, AG. I think my samples that I purchased may be old. They don't seem to have that candied top to them anymore. True that perfume can lose it's top notes after a while? Where is that candy? That's one of the reasons I got them. Bum deal. Still pretty but not complete!

I'm wearing Tocca Stella today. Stella has a sunny vibe to it, with the blood orange and orange blossom. We are expecting a sunny day with warmer temperatures here to help melt some of this snow that is still piled everywhere!

smell bent Horny Little Devil. Again with that "dirty musk". Love that. This time with cinnamon and pepper. Like a sexy christmas candle, LOL. Smells very good though. Only for the winter.

I started off with this tarry leather, The Canary and The Cobra from Imaginary Authors, but was worried that once I gone out, people might mistake that I hadn't washed my hair for several days. It's growing on me, but I'm just not bold enough...switched to Dior Homme Intense.
