For whatever reason I have been into Monale fragrances, Black Aoud isnt the only good one, if you havenet explored them yet. I actually prefer Moon Aoud which is similar to Dark Aoud, but adding sterile rose and patchouli. Aoud lime has really been calling my name.

Im sure most of what I will see as favorites such as, Black Aoud, Dark Aoud and Red Aoud. There are some good ones, if you look.

I think you'll see a LOT of Cuir d'Arabie suggestions here; it's definitely the best Montale I've tried.

Full Incense is also a great power catholic incense, which gets shunted into the margins by Avignon and Cardinal.
I think Black Aoud probably rounds out my top 3, but the rubber/gasoline opening of Black Musk has grown on me, and it's the most wearable of the Montales I own.

I've heard a lot of talk about Red Vetiver (like TdH) and Patchouli Leaves, too.

Yup - go get a FB ASAP of Lime Aoud...

My fav's are Dark / Black / Red & Aoud Lime - the Lime got me the most +ve feedback from female colleagues at work...

End of the day, almost all of the Aoud's from Montale are in many ways similar to each other, yet "just" different. I have 20+ of their line mainly for their longevity and projection.

My favorite is Dark Aoud, then Cuir d'Arabie, Louban is nice also,it has a dusty rose theme. Black Aoud is a classic, Red Aoud has a gourmand theme, Aoud Velvet is a hidden gem. Too many to mention, a great house.

Same here, regrettably - Blue Amber being the sole exception. I do respect one or two others as compositions, but still find the vast majority unwearable.

The only good thing about Montale's fragrances is their extreme longevity. Not a fan of any of their smells. Especially for what you have to pay to get one.

I only like Dark Aoud and as for the rest I just do not like the chemical overpowering synthetic style of the house.

I wish I had smelled the ones Hednic mentioned. The voice of experience. But I will echo those mentioned by several members as the ones I have purchassed. Black Aoud, Dark Aoud and Aoud Lime.
