Hi everybody,

I knew this great website but I've just registered and would like to see your opinions about my collection (if I can call so). I'm 23 years old and I've been buying(and interested in) fragrances for 6 months. I know that everyone has different tastes but do you like them and do you think if they cover all seasons and occasions? Whar other colognes would you suggest?

Dhi
Lidge
Pure Malt
Guerlain Homme Intense
Givenchy Play Intense
Ysl La Nuit
Ysl L'Homme
CN Scent Intense
Midnight in Paris
Versace Ph
Versace Eau Fraiche
Allure Homme Sport

L'Occitane Eau des Baux
Hermes - Nil

Although there are a few I personally dislike, I think it looks good.

Looks like you have most bases covered.

Quite diversified and with some solidly good, elegant yet versatile fragrance choices.

Among others, I'd include: Rive Gauche pour Homme, YSL pour Homme, Le Male Terrible, Givenchy Gentleman, Boss Elements Aqua, Mugler Cologne, Hermes TDH (any concentration), Dior Homme Sport, Pour Monsieur and Bleu by Chanel, Burberry London, Versace The Dreamer, Azzaro Visit on a possible future test list.

way too much emphasis on fall/winter rotation and particularly on gourmands in my humble opinion. you could leave your comfort zone (gourmands) and try different things. on the other hand, spring/summer rotation is much more diversified, varied.

my suggestions would be : xeryus rouge, fahrenheit (absolute-vintage-aqua), one of bvlgari aqva-givenchy blue label-adg essenza trio, burberry london or touch, m7 or rive gauche, solo loewe, terre for sure, bleu de chanel, antidote, and a cologne.

Thanks guys. I know that there are many gourmand frags in there but I like them and I may decide to sell some of them but not now because I havent given them enough wearings to decide which ones I'll keep.

Thanks for suggestions as well. I appreciate and will smell them for sure.

Very good collection 8/10

Cool Water, Spicebomb, 1 Million, Burberry London, Angel Men are possible suggestions.

We have very different taste, but I do like Scent Intense and Gucci pour Homme II from your collection...

nice lists. i am a gourmand/oriental lover myself. check out basi homme and azzaro elixir. both good cheapies..

Thats a collection you can use.

A little heavy on the fresh, sweet and spicy stuff. No fougeres, chypres, florals, leathers. But hey if that's the way you like it, then it's a pretty solid wardrobe as far as I'm concerned.

Minus 1:

Givenchy Play Intense
La Nuit de L'Homme
Versace Pour Homme
Versace Eau Fraiche
Allure Homme Sport
L'Homme
212 Men

Why- I think you could pare down on citruses and gourmands. With Eau des Baux, DHI, Lidge, and Pure Malt, I find Givenchy Play Intense and La Nuit redundant and just boring. As for Allure homme sport, L'homme, 212 Men, Versace Eau fraiche, and Versace man, your clean summer bases are covered by Un Jardin sur le nil, and Issey Miyake.

Get these:
Burberry London (tobacco and perfect for winter)
Mugler cologne (vetiver, gives a different type of freshness)
Armani Code (a pretty well done oriental for formal occasions)
Parfums de Nicolai New York (a chypre with lemon, heavy vetiver, and a salty, sandy texture. Bogged down by reformulation but still worth owning at $45 for 30 ml, and frankly it would be the most interesting thing in your wardrobe).
Antidote by Viktor and Rolf- big shot of lavender in the opening for your floral, tempered with vanilla and citrus to make it work

You have no animalics.

Go buy Kouros Fraicheur. Also I second Givenchy Gentleman. Boss #1 may be worth a look too.

That's a pretty nice collection. Just keep sampling - you will stumble upon things you love.

Nice collection man. No 'horrors' in there

Get yourself some Fahrenheit ;-)
It's what I would call a 'starter pack'. Nice to see 'Scent Intense' on the list though.

No matter how many you buy, there will still be something missing. Your's is a gd collection for a 6 month period. Now sample frags based on notes - try leather / tobacco / oud and so on and buy 1 or 2 from each after u test them and like them.
