It's a beautiful day here following our snowstorm. We are headed out to a yearly local gem and mineral show today, which became a family tradition when our daughter was still a toddler. Then I'll see if I can spell off the caregiver for a while.

My SotD is Eau d'Hadrien.

I'm going to a gem & mineral show next weekend, 30 Roses. It's called Treasures of the Earth. It will be my first time going to one. I love rocks.

I'm wearing Eau des 4 Reines by L'Occitane today. It's rose with violet, a bit of berry fruitiness, and some saltiness, too. It's light and refreshing. I find it works well in hot weather, but I like it year round. Roses bring out the romance for me.

Still raining buckets, supposed to turn into sleet later with possibly 6" accumulation. Really?

I am wearing Valentina from the samples sent with my order from Neiman Marcus. At the top this smelled to me of boozy peach, seems to have settled quickly into nuthin, not quite skin, nice, just very faint.

It's a nice day here - might as well call it "spring." I'm getting ready to go play tennis in Bel Respiro, which has become another on-court favorite, so fresh, vivacious and stemmy-green ...just perfect for a crisp, sunny morning.

Hi everyone! Haven't been on Basenotes for a few days, I've been having trouble with head pain and dizziness again, but it seems to be getting better.

30Roses, I'm so glad your mom seems to be doing okay now, what a scary thing to go through. Your mom and you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

It's a Shalimar day.

You guys know how I feel about rocks. My mom was a member of the Rock of the Month Club. She especially marveled over marble. Grandpa's sand and gravel company is still in business up north. Our house is limestone. I've collected tons of glacially deposited rocks for our landscape. Damn cool stuff.
