Wait a second! Polo Explorer smells like Fresco!

Hey Guys:

Explorer's been around for awhile, but I'm just smelling it for the first time this evening. I get a sweet ambery orange with a very rich leathery woodsy base. I've had it on my skin for a bit, and it suddenly occurred to me what it most reminds me of. FRESCO! So I'd argue that Explorer is more closely related to Fresco than Fresco is to Aventus. The community is always going to go crazy if they think that you can find a cheap designer replacement for a more expensive Creed. However, on closer inspection, I think you will find the blueprint for Fresco was laid down many years ago by this mostly forgotten Ralph Lauren beauty. Just so you know

Personally never cared for the Polo scent, but I do like Aventus.

Hmmmm I can't smell much in Explorer that reminds me of Fresco or Aventus, nor does your description of the notes in Explorer bring either of those fragrances to mind.

Would you care to expand on how you came to that conclusion?

I'm making this comparison based on memory off my sample wearings of Fresco. Fruity top blended with leather and woods. I remember the first time I smelled Aventus, I thought leather was there. I'll be giving Explorer some full wearings next week, so maybe that will give me a better idea.

I own Explorer and Aventus, and have a sample of Fresco. I don't see a lot of similarity between Fresco and Explorer myself.

Never smelled Explorer, but I've heard that the name is fitting and it reminds people of the outdoors.

Hell, my grandma's denture wash smells like Fresco.
But I do like RL Explorer. 'Cuz it smells nothing like Aventus.
