Dior ambre nuit projection

I'm venturing beyond my usual woody incense tastes into more exotic scents such as Amber's and I've found two I like.
The first is Histoire de parfums ambre 114 which I love but find a bit strong for day to day wear and the second is dior ambre nuit which to me is light and airy to the point of being hardly there to my nose.
Am I kidding myself? How do basenotes members find it in terms of projection?
And would you consider it a daily wear or as the name suggests an evening date type of fragrance?
I already own vetiver and leather oud and consider them real power house frags.

Good for Day or Night IMO.

It's definitely more subdued than Vetiver and Leather Oud, but the longevity/projection are still adequate. Very versatile too. Great scent.

Thanks. That's the feed back I needed.
Better get a bottle soon as the sales woman told me they're discontinuing the 125ml sizes.
Why I don't know as I normally buy 50ml for a first buy.

Thanks for reminding me about this. Going to be my SOTD. Perfect for this weather right now.

Projects well.
Anytime I think. It's not too specific.

I tested amber nuit at 51 inches of projection. Very potent stuff!

I find it very potent stuff as well and longevity is great for me. I think it's a very versatile scent that can be worn in any season and any time. I think it particularly shines in the spring and fall. Absolutely marvellous scent and cant wait to get a full bottle

I find Ambre Nuit to project extremely strong on my skin. I have to be careful not to over apply, or it's too much.

Projection and Longevity is excellent. My favourite from the Dior Private line.

I love Ambre Nuit, and think it's fine for any time of day/night. I think of it as more of a rose than an amber, though. For amber, I also love Ambre 114.

Ambre nuit is a little sweet for my taste so I apply very moderately but projection and tenacity are still above average.
