I think this is the one--am I insane or does this smell almost exactly like Derby?

In which case I agree that they are similar.

+1 Agree. I used to own BdP and found the lavender overwhelming and the scent too austere for my tastes. Guerlains Heritage takes the general theme of BdP and adds soft vanilla to soften the harsh aspects making it a more versatile frag. Smells great as well.

God people, relax. I probably named the wrong bottle. And, to preserve any last scrap of undamaged reputation, I think I can tell the difference between a Creed a bottle and Heritage

What are you saying?
That you might have confused Derby With Heritage?
I very much doubt your reputation has suffered in anyone's eyes.
Maybe you should take your own advice and relax :-)
