I have to go with L'eau d' issey

Sel Marin fantastic stuff, picked up a bottle recently for the warmer weather, and can't get over how good it is and I don't normally like aquatics.

It's like the smell of sea spray when applied (with a bit of a seaweed whiff for realism [but in a good way]) and later in drydown it's like sun dried skin after a dip in the ocean.

Never thought I'd be this effusive over an aquatic!

Millesime Imperial and Hugh Parsons Blue are two standouts I really enjoy - relatively uninspiring genre overall though for me.

My two overwhelming favorites are Creed Millesime Imperial and Heeley Sel Marin.

And if you don't mind exceedingly liberal spraying, Creed's Erolfa is enjoyable.

So many that I love from this group.

My favorites would probably be Acqua di Gio and Sel Marin

Imperial Millesime.

Can anyone tell me why we call it Millesime Imperial here on basenotes? On Creed's website it's clearly called "Imperial Millesime," not the other way around.

I'm seeing Millesime Imperial on the Creedboutique.com website. It's also Millesime Imperial on the front of the bottle. See the picture at the very top of this thread.

The box and bottle says Millesime Imperial. Either way, it smells really good.

Millesime Imperial
Chanel Bleu de Chanel
Bvlgari Aqva Marine
Dolce Gabbana the one sport

My favorite was always Clinique Happy for Men but right now I really like Creed Pure White Cologne. Wonderful new discovery. Sel de Vetiver is great too depending on whether you consider it an aquatic.

Bvlgari Aqva pour Homme gets my attention when I run out of idea.

+1, mainly because it doesn't smell like an aquatic to me!

The marine fragrances i sometimes wear are Horizon Guy Laroche (not a sheer aquatic but a green/aromatic with marine elements), Kenzo Pour Homme (another hybrid), New West for Him, Coney Island Bond. I love also Sel de Vetiver which is not properly to classify as an aquatic one in my humble opinion.

Another vote for Guy Laroche Horizon, plus Boss Elements Aqua, Baldessarini Del Mar, Rochas Aquaman, some of the Blu Mediterraneo scents by ADP
post #37 of 54
Might not be the best out there but I really like Blgari Aqva Pour Homme Marine.

Creed Acqua Fiorentina and Chanel Cristalle EDT

I've never tested many aquatics. I owned Kenzo once, but I sold it as soon as I could. I don't want to smell like the crowd.

I don't like gourmands either. The only "edible" perfume I have is miel de bois by Serge Lutens. It is pure honey but I like it.

MI & Erolfa. L'eau D'Issey is very good too as it has great longevity on me, unusual for an aquatic.

Aramis New West for Him....I can barely even smell the calone.
