Best date Scent from the following choices...

Hey BNers. I appreciate this topic has been discussed countless times but I was just wondering...for the most important date of your entire life, what would you choose from the following (please don't say "none").

Date: drop dead gorgeous but shockingly intellectual, extremely fit, stylish but not pretentious, respectful and on the conservative side. Loves fragrances of all sorts.

Venue: funky wine bar, followed by an upscale/exclusive restaurant for dinner.

Attire: dressy jeans, collared shirt, blazer, stylish boots.

Choices:

La Nuit
AdG Essenza
A*Men Pure Malt
Le Male
Kouros
Rive Gauche
Fahrenheit
Platinum Egoiste
1 Million
Cool Water
Eau des Baux

I am leaning towards La Nuit or Le Male. What do you think?

PS -- last time we went out I wore Cool Water, which I had not worn for a while. I forgot how it projects like a beast on me. I thought I put too much on but she told me afterwards that she did not even notice it. So I suppose I can get away with and even benefit from something on the not so subtle side. She is definitely not in the "scent-free" crowd. That said, I don't want to ruin anyone else's dinner at the restaurant by offending them with what I am wearing.

La Nuit or Le Male sounds fine. Personally, I prefer Le Male of the two, and women seem to like it more.

But only spray very little and don't talk about cologne at all during the date. Good luck.

I would go with something pleasant and safe, and not some super sweet clubby scent like amen.

So adg, la nuit, or cool water for me.

People seem to forget that when you are wearing fragrances for others, it's often better to go simple. There is a reason why curve and adg are one of the most complimented fragrances ever..

Don't wear Le Male, please. Wear Eau de Baux. Spray it on your chest, so that if she kisses your neck she won't smell too much perfume. Good luck.

Safest IMO are Eau de Baux followed by La Nuit.

A few from the list are to avoid, as they project like a beast (Le Male / Fahrenheit / PR 1 Million)

Rive Gauche or Fahrenheit. If she said she couldn't smell CW last time on you then perhaps she could and didn't want to say anything. I wouldn't wear it again too quickly.

I love Eau des Baux but imo it's no the best date scent. Its not safe for a date.
I'm surprise Pure Malt hasn't been suggested, I guess that hype train died.

I would go with Pure Malt or La'Nuit.

You want a crowd pleaser that is not nuclear as to avoid surprises. La nuit is a great option.

Thanks guys for all the help. Much appreciated.

Went on the date, and a bunch since with the same girl. I wore Le Male, and have since worn Eau des Baux and AdG Essenza. She liked Le Male but went nuts for Essenza. NUTS. That is twice now (with the two best looking girls I have ever gone out with) that Essenza has had that effect. Maybe it responds really well with my skin. I have no idea. What's great is that I love it too.

In my very modest collection, I have to say that I love Essenza and Le Male the best, followed by La Nuit, 1 Million and Cool Water (no shortage of haters for at least some of these on BN). I am also liking Kouros more and more (as I increasingly pick up on the underlying skank). I'm okay with Fahrenheit and Pure Malt (wish they had much better projection/longevity) and Eau des Baux . I am unenthused with Rive Gauche and Platinuim Egoiste. I have no use for Fresco and I simply cannot wear Yatagan.

DHI, Mont Blanc Legend, Pure Havane and A*Men are all on the way.
