what smells like angel men without the tar???

Hey, i am looking for a nice gourmand to buy and i have smelt angel men and love the dry down, just not the top.

What colognes smell like Amens dry down or generally some really nice gourmand fragrances?

Try some of the others from the line, but more specifically, Pure Leather is very similar to A*Men in terms of the dry down and doesn't have that initial tar note.

If you do not fear wearing a fragrance targeted to women then Angel also by Thierry Mugler is what you're looking for. A*men is basically the more masculine version of Angel with the tar not added

Hanae Mori has a similar chocolate-gourmand vibe, but is much smoother, with an added citrus top. For me HM is a dressier A*men.

may also want to try Givenchy Play Intense a try. A little sweeter, but a much smoother fragrance that gets many compliments.

I also like the top of A-men. The tar dirties it up a little, balances out the sweet. Love it!

lol, erm its a fragrance, nothing to worry about. Plus both of those are pretty much unisex esp New haarlem.

It's been said in the past, but check out St. Charles Shave's New Spice, it's quieter and smoother than A*Men, and dirt cheap. A lot of their others are pretty good too.

Female Angel basically smells very similar, and I didn't detect the tar note in that.
