Designer Tea Fragrances for Spring

Thread Starter
Hi

I'm looking for tea fragrances. Huge fan of GPHII. Also like some Bulgari with tea notes in them. I don't like overly sweet scents and would like to steer away from aquatics for summer, so I thought tea scents that are light and a little sweet should work well. Any recommendations for designer, summer/spring friendly, scents with tea notes?

Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber

None much better than Gucci PHII, IMO.

I like Hermessence Osmanthe Yunnan, tea like osmanthus, light and clean in feel. Composed by Ellena, the same as the Bulgari teas. Technically not a designer, but almost.

I like CDG tea leaves as well, but note that it lapsang souchong tea, that is, quite dark and smoky, not light and clean.

Bulgari Black, maybe? Not entirely tea-like, more powdery rubber. Excellent, nonetheless.

Can't do better than the Bulgaris, in my view. Well, the white and the green teas. I think that there was a Red Tea, which I didn't like at all. There's an Elizabeth Arden green tea which costs almost nothing. Not as good as the Bulgari green tea, similar to it, and really not bad at all.

One of my favorites.

Definitely check out Bulgari for some great summer/spring friendly tea scents. Another one of my favorites is Menthe Fraiche although, it's heavy on mint it has a lovely green tea note.

GREEN TEA 1.7 OZ Eau De Parfum Spray By Elizabeth Arden
It's fragrant nature explores essences of soft green tea and jasmine. Blended with notes of rose and moss, GREEN TEA is a casual type of fragrance.

I agree with cacio, the Hermessence is a great idea but it's so pricey. A more affordable and great tea scent is Aqua Allegoria Mentafollia by Guerlain, but you have to also like mint.

I don't know about for Spring, but there is a new tea fragrance just launched that is fantastic, but is definitely not light and is no spring budding flower. I recommend it anyway. Le Message Oubile Parfum Extrait by L' Antichambre. This tea bomb is black tea with bitter orange, hot pepper, tobacco, leather, nutmeg - contains almost all things bold and big. You get a hot dry spice tea from this scent. Not since CDG Tea have I smelled something so brooding and bold, but it is less tar and more smoke than the CDG TEA. Le Message Oubile is an impressive tea fragrance! But definitely not specific to spring. However, have you noticed how these very dry fragrances work amazingly well in hot weather? Spray sparingly. It works for me.

+1 on the Hermèssence Osmanthe Yunnan. It expresses tea better than Gucci pour Homme II to me, and does have that floral feel for spring.

The Bulgari The (green tea) fragrance comes in an Extreme version that is so elegant and wearable. Not heavy or loud, just bumped up a notch or two. If we were comparing fabrics the Extreme would be silk charmeuse while the original is crepe de chine. A much more fleshed-out fragrance than the original, which is very pleasant but a little thin and fleeting.

Carthusia Meditteraneo - smells like lemon ice tea.

I also have GPH II and Bvlgari Black as my favourite tea scents. For spring I'd prefer GPH II.

Agreed. Also, L'artisan Tea for Two (I know, I know, it's not designer but it's one of the best.)

GPHII for sure. The dry down is very nice with the tea notes

Bvlgari has another tea scent which is pretty good and a bit different aside from the usual green tea one.
Eau Parfumee Au The Rouge, the one with a red packaging.

Fully seconding the GPHII, Green Tea and Bvlgari The Vert, as well as Bvlgari Extreme suggestions.

Roger & Gallet has a nice green tea scent . . . Eau de The' Vert
