Tried this one and I started to like it a lot more than the first time still I am conflicted about getting it.

What you guys think?

Personally not a fan of anything coming out of this house.

It is no secret I am a huge fan of the scent and the perfumer behind it. That said, if you are feeling conflicted it may be that it just is not for you and your subconscious is telling you to keep looking.

I think what hednic is trying to say is that Costume National is an Italian brand and he only buys French

Not to worry.

I bought this one when it came out and like it, I'm partial to cloves used well in a spicy accord and Dominique Ropion (who is French) is nothing if not tasteful when it comes to playing with stuff like this. I personally consider it a way better than average piece of work for something that's relatively mainstream - usually they get let down at the back-end (or as Turin puts it so well "the cash ran out") but this a solid, consistent one IMO. Certainly no regrets buying it - enjoy it in summer.

It is totally up to you.

I know this fragrance has complete BEAST MODE projection and longevity and for that reason I can not wear it at all. One squirt on my wrist for sampling was all for me.

A bit too much cinnamon, but i like it. People around me dont though.

Strong stuff. I actually like this one which surprised me because I don't like the smell of cloves. Problem for me is that this is unwearable in the heat.

Love it

I'm also a fan and keep reminding myself not to overspray as it projects like nothing else.

Great frag. Smells nice and performs even better

Love it . One of my must have

This is one that I sampled and liked, so I got a bottle from Fragrancenet. But after 5-7 full wearings, I began to feel there was something slightly unpleasant about the scent. A sort of musty, almost like old clothes in an old closet in an old person's house. When my younger daughter said she hated it, me and CNH parted ways.

Before purchasing the Costume National, I would suggest you try Salvatore Ferragamo pour Homme.
To my nose they are very similar.
However, the Ferregamo better balances the sweetness with vetiver, making it less cloying than the Costume National.
My 2 cents.

Ive only had it for a week or so and have managed only one full wearing of this. I think it's pretty great for the price.

Great cloves smell with hint of tobacco. Awesome longevity and projection, it's not a Montale but it's not lame like Creed either.

One of my favorites and in my wish list.
Longevity and projection is really satisfying!

Also one of my favourites, and very potent. You can get it online for a good price sometimes. I absolutely recommend it, and 21 as well. Hell, even Scent Intense.

I like it, it is on my list to buy
