Perfecting my 15 bottle collection.

Hi guys! It would really be great if you guys can help me out. I'm a 23 year old student right now trying to collect just 15 great bottles. I now have 10.

1. Creed Green Irish Tweed
2. Creed Aventus
3. Chanel Allure Homme Sport
4. Bleu de Chanel
5. Dior Homme Sport
6. Terre D'Hermes
7. Issey L'Eau D'ete Summer 2009
8. Gucci Pour Homme ii
9. Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche
10. Ralph Lauren Polo Blue

So as you can see I enjoy safe and pleasant scents, I dont really plan to be a fragrance nut to smell super unique and all, and it has been fine with the opposite sex just the way it is. Can you guys recommend me another 5 scents to add to this collection? And its best if its as versatile as possible (all season). At the moment I'm thinking of La Nuit de L'Homme and Creed Original Santal. What do you guys think? Thanks!

L'Instant De Guerlain by Guerlain might work for you.

Have you thought of going straight into niche? Try other niche houses such as Diptyque and Lutens.

Beautiful well rounded start I would edge taut out with...

1. A frederic Malle scent
2. A Bond No 9 scent
3. A Dior Private Line Scent
4. A Prada Scent
5. And a classic brand like Guerlain, Penhaligon's, Floris or Czech and Speake.

I really dont mind spending if theyre worth it. My climate is not really that cold, so i avoid strictly winter scents. Interesting idea mheusler. Any recommendations? The more signature scent worthy they are, the better

Sure. I'll give you my favorites from each line.

1. Frederic Malle (I would either go Vetiver Extrordinare or Geranium Pour Monsieur)
2. Bond No 9 (I would go Riverside Drive, New Haarlem, Wall Street or Coney Island)
3. Dior Private (maybe either Leather Oud or Amber Nuit) you could also get something from Chanel's private line (Syacmore, Bel Respiro, Cuir De Russie, Bois De Illes etc)
4. Prada (Luna Rosa, Infusiom D'Homme, or Amber, these are clean, beautiful scents)
5. Guerlain's Le Homme, Penhaligon's Sartorial, Floris's Mahon Leather, Czech and Speake's Oxford and Cambridge or No. 88.

Check these guys out. Also check out my Youtube channel for more in depth descriptions of some of these fragrances. My show is called "Maximilian Must Know", it focuses on wetshaving and fragrances.

Thanks! I like geranium pour monsieur for sure, very classy smelling. Never tested its longevity and projection though. Do you have experience with it?

Sure do man. Here's my review of it.

Max.

If you're into citrus try Mulholland by Keiko Mecheri, one of my favorites. And if you like tea, Jo Malone's Earl Grey and Cucumber is a great, safe, versatile scent.

You should definitely have a Guerlain in there. I recommend Heritage.

I'm not sure why you don't only own Creed. You feel like a Creed-only person.

santal and la nuit are actually both good options. go for it.

That's a nice little 10 bottle collection!

I recommend Uomo by Lorenzo Villoresi.

La Nuit is great. Maybe my favorite next to Terre D' Hermes

I will also recommend

Gucci Guilty Intense
Versace Pour Homme
Versace Man Eau Fraiche
John Varvatos Original and Vintage
Spicebomb

I like L'instant but I've always imagined it to be a bit too mature for my taste. The only reason why I got Terre D'Hermes is because my girlfriend loves it on me and I use it for weddings. Dont think i need too many mature scents.

Just looking at what you have so far you have a lot of fresh fragrances or fragrances for warmer weather. 5 I'd recommend would be:

1. Pure Havane, A*men Taste of Fragrance, or Pure Malt.
2. Burberry London
3. CK One Shock, Spicebomb, or Eau Des Baux
4. Rive Gauche, Original Vetiver, or Vetiver Hombre.
5. Dior Homme or Dior Homme Intense

Thanks guys! Appreciate the suggestions! I like burberry london but there's no point in having both Original Santal and London right? I always had a feeling that theyre fairly similar. Maybe because of the cinnamon note

Would not say that they are similar. I haven't tried anything that resembles Burberry London.

+1! Geranium Pour Monseuir is a great mint scent. One of my favorites! And one of only two Malle's I own. (The other is Portrait of a Lady by the same perfumer.)

Also OP, Creed Millesime Imperial might do nicely in that collection.

Mugler Cologne would be a great addition to your collection, especially in the warm weather.
