Jasmine that lasts?

I love jasmine and have been diving into a decent assortment of samples recently but I'm having some issues with longevity.

I like A La Nuit but when I wore it yesterday it lasted for all of 2-3 hours before disappearing. Love & Tears and Fresh Pink Jasmine suffer similarly. It's almost noon and I'm still getting a little love from Jasmine Rouge but I don't think its going to last more than another hour or two.

Are there some jasmines that last longer or do I just need to lather up with lotion beforehand and reapply midday?

Is this typical of jasmines or women's fragrances in general?

Have you tried Jasmine Full by Montale? It has pretty good longevity.

Please buy JOY DE PATOU. It is the most delicious and realistic jasmine available on earth. Buy the EDP and it will last the whole day for you.

Tom Ford's Jasmine Musk came across as quite strong and long lasting to me. Not sure if you can still find it.

Instead of a la nuit, you could check Sarrasins, unfortunately available only in Paris, or, for a markup, in NYC.

I also second Joy, but have not smelled it after reformulation.

I put jasmine full on before I went to bed last night, it's not my favorite but maybe I'll try it again. Sarrasins doesn't seem to get along with my skin, it smells plasticky like a Barbie doll on me. I have a sample of Joy but haven't tried it yet, I'll have to test that too.

Kilians Love & Tears or Tom Ford Jasmine Rouge.

I love Jasmine on a women, unfortunately, my GF does not like it. I had her try these two. Love and Tears was a beast.

Jasmin edp by Bruno Acampora (Jasmin T in the BN directory, I believe)

Nasomatto Nuda is a heavyweight indolic jasmine with great staying power. Perseverance is key though - don't be put off by the somewhat challenging top notes, and give it a while to mellow on the skin.

Jasmine Noir by Bulgari.

Thierry Mugler Alien

I always apply unscented lotion before applying my fragrance. It helps immensely with longevity on my skin.

Also, are your samples daubers or sprayers?

When I first sampled A La Nuit (in a 1ml dauber), it didn't last all that long -- 4-5 hours maybe.

When I spray, I get 6-7 hours out of it.

In order of longevity, Sarrasins (too bad about the plastic effect), Annick Goutal Songes EDP, and A La Nuit are my favorites.

Alien has a half life of 100 years. But it's not among my favorite jasmines.

Jasmin Full would be my pick; like most Montales, it has exceptional longevity as well as projection.

l also own & enjoy Jasmin Noir, but l find it very lacking in longevity.

Bruno Acampora Jasmin is a great choice if you want a seriously dirty jasmine.

l adore Alien, but it's not a natural-smelling jasmine at all; more an armour-plated, supersonic jasmine from outer space!

You may want to try Lust by Gorilla Perfumes; it's too much for me, but it certainly packs a full-on jasmine punch!

Estee Lauder's Tuberose , is a very potent long lasting Tuberose and Jasmine scent.
My mom loves Jasmine, she wears this all the time.

Creed Jasmal is a beautiful, authentic jasmine. Long lasting.

Perfect description, teardrop! It's well worth a sniff, though.

Jasmine is indeed one of the listed notes in Tuberose Gardenia, but on me this is all about the gardenia, with tuberose and vanilla in strong supporting roles. I love it! But don't assume this is jasmine dominant; you'll want to try it to see what your skin brings out.

If you can find some, the discontinued and hard-to-find Norma Kamali Jazmin lasts forever and then some. It's indolic nature isn't for everyone though. The second longest-lasting jasmine fragrance I've tried is Thierry Mugler's Absolu Jasmin . It isn't exactly easy to find either, but it is absolutely beautiful and it is a parfum, lasting at least eight hours.

All I can say is that I've had a bottle ,I liked it but I had to sell it because my wife didn't like it that much. So ,I sold it to a co-worker and I could smell the scent on her from morning till I got to go home.(over 8 hours longevity)

Thanks for pointing that out, yes all my samples are daubers. I did think the scent would be stronger with spray but I hadn't considered longevity.

Thanks everyone else for the suggestions!

Jasmin Noir lasts the whole day on me, too.

Jeszra, spraying could indeed make the difference (and spraying a little vs. spraying generously as well).

You could also try Songes from Annick Goutal (jasmine and vanilla), it also has good longevity. I would have expected La Nuit and Sarrassins to last the whole day - they are both quite potent. Nuda is surely a long-lasting scent with quite some sillage.

Drama Nuui from Parfumerie Generale is also a beautiful tender jasmine of the non-indolic kind, along the lines of Jasmin Rouge and Love & Tears.

Nasomatto's Nuda or Dior's Jadore EDP - both are b'ful frags, lasts really well on my GF

I would second Lush Lust, for longlasting but indolic take,

Samsara edp, vint

Sarrasins,'most beautiful jasmin sambac....

Gorgeous jamsine My sin.......vint

Joy perfume.......vint as well

Calvin Klein Beauty is nice jasmine synthetic

Ubar used to be nice one, but new batches are weaker now....still last all day long

I am still waiting for jasmine attar from Amouage....hopefully i receive it one day, but its hard to find..i saw one in USA ebay....i heard its longlasting???...but in general i think jasmine is gentle note and hard to make it longlasting.....but the above are all nice longevity..
