Just subscribing. I want to buy an sexy aquatic for summers too. (Whether we have summer in Britain or not is another matter anyway).

I dislike aquatics, but the most intense, head-turning, realistic aquatic (in the sense of beach with assorted decaying life-forms) is the expensive Tirrenico by I profumi del forte. Also in niche, Voramar by Monegal is a decent contender as well.

Cheaper, there is Dubai by Scents of departures, and interesting aquatic oud (if one can imagine). It usually goes for $50, but it's on sale for $20 at my local Urban outfitters.

Cool Water. Every bit as good as GIT.

head turning aquatic---> bvlgari aqva marine (i prefer aqva though)

Sorry, but Aquatics are awful and the only head turning is to get away from the smell. They all seem to have a hellish sillage.

You do realize we have many women who participate on this site who may not appreciate your humor.

I didn't even try. Instant nasal irritation for me.

@bgoc - some Environment Agency guys told me we're in for a hot one - they tend to know these things imo.
But they were doing engineering works due to our tendency towards higher water levels at the time....

+1. Not a huge fan of the opening, but once this settles in it's fantastic. Plus it's an EdC that projects and lasts longer than most EdT's.

It isn't really classified as an aquatic, but Chanel Bleu is awesome and Clinique Happy.

Go with Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey pour Homme, really head turning aquatic! Both male and female heads!!!

Hugh Parsons Blue- aquatic, yes, but with an alluring, stylish and non-generic twist

Sel Marin. I keep banging on about this one but it's worth banging on about. I would be eternally grateful if I had weather warm enough to actually wear it!!

Smells like a dirty harbor with a few dead fish floating on the surface to me.(no offense please)

Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme is a better option in my opinion..

Here are some aquatic options that you may consider bnbsports .

Millesime Imperial is also great but you dont get good longevty for what you pay.

Funny... I thought Bvlgari Aqva, and especially Aqva Marine smelled just the way you described the Heeley Sel Marin. All the worst smells of a marine environment.

Interestingly, dirty harbor with dead fish is what most aquatics smell to me. But not the Heeley. As usual, some people are hypersensitive to some notes, or slightly anosmic.

I realize people like aquatics, for me they just seem over the top, slap upside the face.... kind of thing.

Maybe the 2013 flanker of Jaipur...

"Jaipur Homme Limited Edition comes in a package inspired by arabesque motifs and turquoise colors of the sea that represent shades of flowers and plants in the sunlit city of Jaipur. The new fragrance reinvents the original oriental-spicy formula as woody-aquatic composition of rare elegance. The composition begins with a water splash, fresh melon and the sensuality of cloves. As the original, this heart also features spicy aromas of nutmeg and cinnamon, laid on the base of amber wood and vanilla. The nose is Annick Menardo.

The fragrance is available from April 2013 as 100 ml of Eau de Toilette."

I don't find many aquatics last and project as much as I like, but in that regard I've had good results with Tom Ford Neroli Portofino EDP.

Go with the classic Cool Water. Else Bulgari Acqua is a great alternative.
