Happy Anniversary, ladymurasaki!

SotD is the older A. A. Flora Nerolia-- I figured I'd have it on my hands anyway since I was decanting, so thought I might as well wear it!

Note that we are doing a drawing for the new A. A. Nerolia Bianca-- see my siggy. Three winners will each get 2 samples.

Hello all & happy anniversary to the murasakis!

Was tickled to see that l was scent triplets with the lovely Evangeline & misscasey last night!

A lazy start to my day off today, planning to finally sample Seville a l'Aube in a bit.
Good morning, everyone!

I started my day with a run in Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte, which is great for a workout but really doesn't last very long, even without a shower. But now I'm fresh and clean and newly perfumed with gorgeous vintage Gucci No1 ...this one will last all day if I let it.

Happy Anniversary ladymurasaki - enjoy your special day!

Hey teardrop! We sure did smell wonderful together, didn't we?
Ooops, got distracted by a question at work and posted on the Thursday thread!

I love that you're doing a drawing 30R! I beat a path to that thread and posted!

Today it's dark and snowy AGAIN. There was literally a line of dark clouds across the sky with Blue sky behind me and black ahead. I felt like I was driving into Mordor. Stupid, unending winter!

I'm trying Nahéma by Guerlain today. Going through my samples and testing stuff I haven't tried before. This one is going to take a few wearings for me to unravel, but that seems to be how I am anyway. All I can say at the start is.... pretttty.

((elizrj))

My daughter is on a field trip at UConn and will be hobbling around in the brisk air with her knee immobilizer and a cane. She has to keep it on until she sees the orthopedic doctor on Wednesday, but she is really sick of wearing it!

Good morning everyone I've been wearing #19 the last few days and yesterday it seemed like the perfect scent for a jobinterview I almost wore #19 again for the synch ( A spring scent), but then I decided on L'ombre dans l'eau instead. Happy anniversary Lady Murasaki Hope you have a great day!
In Sync (Spring, Spring Spring is in the air!!) in:

Kiss Me Tender by Parfums de Nicolai (from a sample)

When I first tested this I didn't like it, but it's grown on me. Sort of a more strident and spiky Apres l'Ondee. Very Spring!
Happy Anniversary, LadyM, I hope you will have a great day together!

Good morning, everyone! Very cold out this morning, it's -5F, but there's no snow in
the forecast so that's good.

In sync this morning with Diorissimo. This is a spring scent that just makes me happy.

Have a great day!

That was quick!

I am in synch with a sample of TDC Sublime Balkiss - sweet with berries in the opening, but I like it so far. Waiting to check out the rose note, which can be hit or miss with me.

Wine o'clock will get here soon guys. Hang in there!

Congratulations and Happy Anniversary, LadyMurasaki

Good luck with the job interview, inneespenes!

Donna, I'm intrigued by the Jo Malone you're wearing -- what's it like?

I'm double-synched today and redolent of orange blossom, re-sampling HdP 1873 (Colette) on the left wrist and Ramon Monegal Entre Naranjos on the right wrist.

Happy Anniversary to Lord & LadyMurasaki!

Good luck to ine!

Kiliwia, belated congrats on your very happy news! You were due for a turnaround, so glad it finally came. Feeling very grateful that this load has been lifted off of you!

Springy and in sync in Cote Bastide Lilas today. Hugs to all!
How would I get through today without Safran Troublant?
Sorry, I'm not in synch today ... I'm wearing Fumerie Turque. It's cold and dreary here with possible snow later. I'm not feeling a Spring-like frag today. I'm home again today with lots of basketball games to watch! Go Jayhawks!

Happy Anniversary to Mr. and Mrs. ladymurasaki!
Good afternoon.

La Traversée du Bosphore for me today.

Happy Anniversary to M'Lord and M'Lady.

30Roses, you darn sweet soul, sharing samples, taking care of your family, you are a giver. I hope you reap rewards in whatever way is meaningful to you.

DAY ONE: HOME-ALONE STAYCATION

Husband (Dan Savin) and daughter (Mandy Savin) are in Connecticut for the Savin Rock Half Marathon & 5K. Guess why they chose this event.

Staycation supplies laid in: Pre de Provence peony soap, Surrender to Chance samples, Netflix movies and series queued, my first-ever issue of Vogue(picked up at Half-Price Books for $1.57) on hand. Lastly, I have audio CDs recently sent from a cousin who interviewed my mom in 2001, a couple months before Mom passed away. I think this is the weekend to hear her voice again. We'll see.

Billie Holiday: "Ain't nobody's bizness if I do"
I'll shower when I'm damn well ready, eat what and when I please, nap like the cat if I feel like it. WHEN I feel like applying scent, it will be one of the following new experiences -- or all of them at once. My prerogative.

FM Dries Van Noten
Guerlain Voyages Olfactifs Tokyo
Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge
I Profumi di Firenze Violetta Di Bosco
Laurence Dumont Vanille Violette
Lucy B Royal Green Fig & Vanilla Woods
Ramon Monegal Impossible Iris
And Jo Malones: Earl Grey & Cucumber, Redcurrant & Cream, Elderflower & Gooseberry

The weather will be warming up for their run, Quarry. 40s tomorrow and sunny; Sunday will also be nice-- high of 45.
Nothing smells like spring more than lilacs in my mind, so I am in sync with Pur Desir de Lilas.
Best of luck, Ine

Staying in synch for the evening with Lorenzo Villoresi Yerbamate.

Looks like our planned sniffathon for tomorrow will be put on hold until next weekend as the snow is starting to fall heavily here and is forecast to do so for most of the night. Attempting public transport is likely to be more trouble than it's worth. Battening down the hatches instead and opening a bottle or two (chianti )

Stay safe and warm, everyone.

Well, thank heavens it is Friday night. Jicky extrait, and plenty of it.
Chianti for me too, Jon.
Best to all.

Just showered and decided to stay with the lilacs in a sample of Ineke After my own Heart. I've enjoyed the lilacs today.

Have a lovely weekend everyone, especially you Quarry.

This afternoon I'm in this too. Does it get any more Spring-y than this?
Ah, Quarry, it sounds like you are set to take full advantage of your stay-cation. Good for you! Know that I'm sending hugs and thoughts of peace your way as you contemplate those audio CDs. If you're ready, you'll know it. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on your samples

G, you're cracking me up today!

I think I need to explore Entre Naranjos more fully with a decant. 1873 just isn't doing it for me.

In other news, I've found another iris that I really like!! Will wonders never cease?!

I'm sampling Parfums DelRae Mythique this afternoon, and I'm LOVING it!! Notes are mandarin, Italian bergamot, ivy, peony, jasmin concrete, Florentine orris butter, sandalwood, patchouli, and ambrette musk. The orris butter is full and fleshy and wears almost like suede -- in fact, I recognize that same iris/suede combination from Daim Blond, but Mythique is much less sweet and more iris-y. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

Sampling Eau des Merveilles by Hermes for the first time. Just received my first batch of samples from the Perfumed Court!!!! So excited!!!!

Wait, wait, wait!!! THIS IS CRITICAL!!! Which BATCH number did you spritz? OMG IT MAKES ALL DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD!

(snort, chortle, guffaw)
Nefret, are you, by any chance, an Elizabeth Peters fan?

SOTD is Hermes Eau des Merveilles.
Hey again -

I'm in Noir de Noir for the evening, and I'm very excited to be joining friends I haven't seen since college for a typical NOLA night out: crawfish, cocktails and live jazz. Excellent.

Good evening to all!

Lady Grinning Soul, yes. Nefret is not the usual moniker I use for things, but it was the first one that came to mind that wasn't taken, and I don't find it objectionable. Haven't read the latest however many books, though.

ExtremeK, if I tell you my decant smells like pineapple and fairy magic, can you narrow it down for me?

Gimme a minute while I consult the 30-page thread on the men's side. The answer's bound to be there somewhere.

Excellent work, Jon Rodgers
Nefret, I'm very fond of (the character) Nefret. Ramses too. So much so that I named a pair of my alpacas after them. I haven't read the last few books in the series, either, but I've reread most of the earlier ones several times.

Ramon Monegal -- in the AM it was Cherry Musk, in the PM it is Kiss My Name.
