Grigioperla

I have recently begun bingeing on frags again having shown admirable restraint for a number of months.

I purchased Grigioperla online, and received my bottle yesterday. I am seriously impressed with this - strongly reminiscent of Drakkar Noir, but more herbal and less oily or leathery. Very classy, very Italian, sillage is high initially but tapers to a low herbal, soapy skin scent after a number of hours, whereafter it continues for many hours, with overall lonegvity (at that level) being 12 hours+.

I can see this being a regular and prominent feature in my wardrobe, does anyone else have experience of this great scent?

I've been wondering about this too recently.

Has anyone else any experience of this? The review of it have goot me intrigued! The Great Badir says, "One of the best barbershop fougeres on the market", "rich and complex" and "Sillage and longevity on me are great - it's a little masterpiece."

I recently bought my wife a little 8m sample of the classic women's 'La Perla' and we both love it. It has one of the best uses of Patchouli I've smelled in a long time. It's rich and heavy but never cloying or sickly - it reminds me in both smell & character of 'Giorgio Beverly Hills for Men'. I'm wondering whether GriglioPerla is anywhere near as good as its female counterpart?

The only reason I haven't bought this is because I have so many Drakkar Noir smell-alikes in my collection, it's getting ridiculous. This one does sound really good though. Though "less leather" doesn't light my fire, "more herbal" sounds right up my alley. The description and the bottle make me think Basile Uomo.

I've seen Grigio Perla listed in a lot of power fans' wardrobes, so it must be good.

I found this to be a decent fougere, and one of better Drakkar Noir type scents - like you Shamu, I find myself with a lot of these type of scents. I would say it's more civilized than DN, definitely more herbal, but very classic.

i've never smelt Basile (although have considered purchasing), but have seen it compared to One Man Show. This is quite different to that, much more closely related to Drakkar Noir. I would recommend.

I finally got to sample this at the weekend and I'm glad I didn't previously buy it blind. I say this not because it's a bad fragrance - quite the reverse - I found it to be very good but it smells EXACTLY like Caesars Man! Even the strange citric top note (Lime?) is there. The drydown is slightly smoother and more rounded with the Grigioperla but I can't imagine having both in my collection - there's nothing top choose between them. Pity really as I loved the bottle design...!

I'm glad I didn't blind buy it too. Anyone else find the similarities to Caesar's?
