Another Throwback: Nobile Royalty

There has been some love for Alexander Da Costa's Nobile Royalty on the main boards and I wanted to bring it up here. I haven't smelled the Gucci to which NR is compared, but this in and of itself is a nice addition to my wardrobe. I bought it blind recently and am glad I did.

Those who love big-boned 80s-era masculines such as Photo, Jazz, Drakkar Noir or Lauder would probably dig this affordable bottle. It fits into the discussion in this group (I did a forum search and came up empty so I hope this isn't a redundant thread).

There's another thread here on NR, but no big deal. You got that right about this being a great big 80s frag. It's awesome.

I used to wear Gucci Nobile a long time ago. I liked it a lot, but after a few months of wearing it, it wore me out. There was a brackish, sweet note in it that made it tiresome to wear for the long haul.

NR smells almost exactly like Nobile. The only difference I smell is that NR is a little bit drier, without that sweet note that bothered me in Nobile. Therefore, I think NR is the superior fragrance. It's both old school 80s and a powerhouse.
