Ody! I thought of you last night...shopping at Homesense with my daughter and in the candle/ reed diffuser section found this:

I think it was around $19 for a 2oz size and it smelled wonderful! Like a dry woody cypress scent. Perfume for skin and/or home. Neat!

Here is info about the manufacturer:

ps- hope I posted this properly.. as a topic?

Sounds interesting for sure, and the low price is certainly appealing. Is it meant primarily as a room scent or one to be worn?

How would you compare it to Cypres-Musc?

Hi 3x! Yes, this is a good way to post something here. Thanks for this. And I'll have to watch for it. Homesense! Who'd - a - thought! I'll certainly have to check that out. Skeem is kind of an odd-sounding brand name. $19 for an EDP is a pretty good price.

It is much woodier than Cypres Musc, and softer. No musk or lavender, which I also get/love in Cypres Musc (((shamu))

Apparently it is for skin AND/OR room spray, which is interesting in itself.

They had others as well but now I forget what they were. Will have to go back and check them out again. Such a great price point.

Agree on the name, where did they come up with Skeem as a name? Maybe a play on "Scheme"?

Much woodier than Cypres-Musc? Either I'm a real noob when it comes to wood fragrances, or this Skeem scent is out of this world, because Cypres Musc is the woodiest fragrance I've ever smelled!

Another thing I'm noticing about my olfactory sense is that I am not able to detect a lot of deep base notes, such as musks. many times. For example, in Cypres Musc just about all I smell are the lavender and the woody top and middle notes; I just can't smell the musk in it (as an aside, glad to hear you're enjoying your Cypres Musc, 3xasif ).

Hah -- try $7.99 at Winners! Picked up a bottle today. On my skin, this is a very powerful, linear scent. Quite woody, more dense than Cypres-Musc. CM is translucent and elegant, with very fresh resinous and coniferous notes. The Skeem scent is quite solid and woody. Smells OK, though I think I like it better as a room spray than a skin scent.

I've been using it as a room spray. It is uber-powerful (to my nose). A bit more than I would want to wear on my skin. But I'm fairly sensitive to smells. It is a very woody, kinda boozy sort of scent. Reminds me of an inexpensive version of CdG Sequoia or Palisander. Interesting!
Cypres-Musc is more translucent (not as dense) and has a sprightly resinous-green air (which Skeem does not).
