I received my decant of Tawaf yesterday afternoon. I spent the evening and overnight in it, and I'm wearing it again today. I'm in south Florida for a while, and this warm and humid climate suits Tawaf. I got an impression of gardenia at first (there is a gardenia bush growing just outside the door here), that earthy "mushroomy" quality of gardenia, and then I got the rubbery impression. I didn't know that was oppoponox - I was thinking, "tuberose?". I got an impression of jasmine, orange blossom, all white florals that waft in the night's softness of Florida. It's very pretty. It also reminded me of jasmine soaps I once used (maybe by Caswell-Massey? I've forgotten now). It does smell very clean. The florals are lush but not dirty. I have enjoyed wearing this over the past twelve hours or so...the fragrance helped induce a sense of softness and relaxation in my mood, which has been a bit anxious and tense lately, allowing the imagination to wander and feel more aloft, freed for a time from earthbound cares and concerns. Jasmine is celestial in that sense. Another lovely, aromatherapeutic offering from Profumo!
