I'd love to participate. Somehow, I missed the first campaign. It's a wonderful and innovative idea !
I would also love to participate. Thank you so much for this great opportunity ! Good luck to everyone !
I think what striked me more in this project was this innovative idea of creating a kit that enhances the user to craft it's own unique scent. There was a story once about Napoleon and Josephine. It was said that each one of them wore a different perfume, and when they made love their scents became one, a perfume that only they knew, who exceeded the boundaries of beauty . I believe it's the same, here, creating two auras that blend into one single scent .

Congratulations for the idea !

Count me in, i'd love to participate!

I don't want to sound pretentious, but what did strike me the most is that my idea was chosen by Profumo for the blending kit! By the way I will write a review about the blending kit in the next days anyway.

I'm excited to be part of this project. Count me in.

This is only a giveway, not a project. If you want to be counted in the draw for this very special product unique in the perfumery panorama, then you could write on this thread saying what did stryke you most in the Tawaf project.

I would love to be in the lucky draw! I think the basic premise of being able to attenuate your own strength of blend is really cool, such a great simple idea!
This is a very nice draw For me, what strikes me is being able to be part of the creative process, of having a chance to have the final perfume as imagined by the perfumer but having the freedom to extend the aspect that i like the most. Many times i have already tried fragrances that i imagined "This part is lovely, but it lasts so little or is so shy". This is a smart solution, since the blending is already balanced to let you extende it but without messing with the formula. Very nice!
OMG!! I'd love to be in the draw. Thanks!
I just think it's amazing that you are inviting people to meld in this way for the creation of something special. That is extraordinary in itself.

What strikes me most about this process is the idea that we can create our own scents within the family of one scent--I liked the idea of a man and woman wearing complementary scents. I like the thought of creating a morning/evening/nighttime version because I find as the day goes on, I seem to crave different scents. You could say one desires a "heavier" scent at night, like standing outside in a jasmine garden, or a "lighter" scent in the early hours when the nose is freshest. I would love to be part of this draw!

I missed much of the initial discussion on Tawaf, but am really thrilled to see this new project from Profumo! It has been such a great experience being included in the art of perfumery in such an intimate way through Profumo's previous projects, and this one is no exception. I believe Tawaf really brings us as the consumer to the next step in better learning, understanding, and personalizing fragrances for our tastes! This one promised to be amazing. Kudos to Profumo and those involved for a new and novel idea. I would too very much love to be in the draw to experience this creation process for myself!

Thanks,
Michael

What strikes me most... first, it's the idea of juggling with the perfumes, giving the oportunity to choose, making the process of scenting an interractive one, not only passive, from the client's point of view, obliging the client to THINK, FEEL and EXPERIENCE. And second, it's Profumo's intention of educating the public in this wonderful field, yet not too known, unfortunately, that always strikes me.
I would love to be in the draw, thank you very much.

certainly, you are in.

The ability to be an active participant in something I could/would never do on my own is what draws me to this. I'd love to be in the draw!
I love the idea of a perfume in two parts. I am fortunate in that Salaam has graciously sent me a generous sample of the finished Tawaf fragrance. This just makes me all the more curious to learn what the binary components smell like on their own.
I also have smelled Tawaf in its whole self and would be most curious as to its construction in two halves. It is a most interesting fragrance. I can only imagine how intense the actual place and event must be in it's entirety.
What struck me interesting about this project is separating the perfume into two aromas. Each wearable separately or together,
so in essence you have three perfumes. When working making accords it's apparent when things will work with others, then combined to make something new. This was the most interesting aspect of Tawaf.

Have you ever seen the optical illusion of the picture of the young woman, that, when looked at differently, looks like an old woman? I think that's what a kit like this is trying to create: an olfactory version of just such an effect, when the brain is at the tipping point, noticing one thing rather than the other, and then going back and forth. I would love to have a kit like this to see how that effect impacts my experience throughout the day. What is the foreground? What is the background? How does perception shift between these two?

I'd love to participate as well. All these years loving scent and have the opportunity to create our own music with basic quality ingredients. Who could say no.

As a researcher in the field of olfaction, behavior and neural circuitry, I would love to participate. I have a passion for perfumes and I am currently studying the effects of odors in innate behaviors, physiology and what are the neural circuits underlying these changes Am I too late?

Not too late saraivalmr, you may also check my site for pages pertaining to olfactory psychology and a few posts pertaining to this subject in my blog.
This group has also some inedit info on experiments done with animal scents and their psychological effects.

This sentence: "that perfume consumers have been cast in the role of passive spectators, an audience for ‘professionals’ " was the most captivating notion of the project. As a consumer of beautifully crafted scents, I'm actually quite content to be a passive spectator in much the same way I'm content to listened to beautifully composed music without the need to become a musician myself, but in this case, the idea of being part of a creation process is exciting and slightly intimidating in a good way because the blender, the wearer, in this case, will "own" the end result. If you believe, as I do, that whatever we touch holds the mark of our life in some way, this would be a rather powerful experience to have and one I'd certainly like to have.

I was so intrigued to read this article. The idea of two people, each wearing their own version of the fragrance, then coming together to form another version is delightful. Completeness and perfection only through being together, a fragrance that only the two of them would know. This also led me to spend two happy hours browsing your website - VERY tempting! As if I hadn't spent enough money on my hobby already ....
That would be awesome to create some perfume on my own!

What I find most striking about this project is the fluid line between opposite notes, almost a 3-dimensional shape, rather than a binary construction.

I am intrigued. I love the idea that a couple could wear a fragrance "together". It has often been my experience that my partner and I, who both love scents, will be wearing a perfume that clashes with eachother, like dissonant chords. The idea of each being able to wear their own (hey, we all like our individuality) but complimenting each other sounds great. I'm all in to try this!

This is well said Sujaan, a very interesting point, husband and wifes have too many occasions to clash, wearing perfume should not be one more, and chosing perfume together could be the occasion for fine tuning to each others mood.
You are in the draw with the others, welcome.

I keep reading references to music in many of the comments. The impact music has on us is strong... but I would venture to say the impact of scent is even stronger. Playing a yin/yang off between two compatible yet dissimilar notes could yield some surprising results. Unpredictable results. Like notes in harmony, the sine waves of music sometimes enhance, sometimes dampen the sound. Our consciousness could be similarly affected by a variable balance of notes in a scent. Love to try it out... in fact do with your scents I've already bought. It's amazing to me how harmoniously they collaborate.

Hoping to sell a kidney in order to fulfill my wish list for all the things I want to try and use from Profumo.it. The finest of life.

Hi just found out about this new scent, i did hear of Mr Profumo several months ago, when my passion for perfumes started:-) , and i have discovered i love jasmine a lot, i see some people have issues with it, so i think i will love this perfume, i don't doubt the mix of 2 accords is perfectly balanced, if i had an opportunity to choose them every day would be nice, still not sure if my 6 ml opoponax would be left unused maybe hehe

But wanted to say this for all those people who tell smells have no gender i think they do, if perfumes provoke emotions, i think men and women express their emotions and live their emotions differently just as those 2 accords mixed in various ratios give two different expressions of the emotions, one feminine, another more masculine:-) , so i hope i am in the advantage over men cause just tawaf Mr. Profumo made will suit me well:-)(i base it on the beautiful reviews of the scent) , am i right there? The option to add more opoponax will maybe be more used by men:-)

Oh i plan to order samples, just wish i saw this group earlier and took part in the interesting game because i just love natural ingredients and don't mind if they smell only 3 hours, quality over quantity:-)

Nice regards to everyone from Croatia! Xxxx

Great project Mr Dubrano! I find it interesting that the public gets to participate in all phases of the perfume creation process. I am also impressed by the innovative ideas that can come from individuals who though not being professional perfumers have great ideas generated by their love of perfume. To me the Tawaf project is a bit like a huge custom perfume creation process with the client not being one person but several at the same time and the custom blending goes on even after purchase of the final product because you can mix the two parts of the perfume to match your own taste!

Would be great to win a Tawaf kit but if I do not I then need to save up so as to be able to purchase one some day!
