May not be at the right place to say this, but if I had to choose between shoes and a bottle of something smelling nice...well, I woudl probably take both. Seriously, love shoes and shoes love me, and that is my longest lasting love affair. Gucci makes comfortable shoes, but the wast popularity they enjoy puts me off a little, although I still enjoy my five or six pairs. Louis Vuitton makes some excellent shoes as well, but those tend not to be exactly the walking shoes and I prefer only to wear those in the evening. My all time favorite, good for walking, good for shopping, eating out, dating, doing whatever, are the Fratelli Rossetti. Have bought some 20 or so pairs in the past few years and have at all times been more than satisfied. They also have a sports line, called "flexa", so that is where I get my sneakers. Am totally relious about the F. Rossetti, so much that I visited the factory, as some sort of a pilgrimage.

    TIMBERLAND!!!

Who can live without those boots. They are so comfortable. I own only one pair and have had them for 2 years already. I'm going on 3. They have been through snow, rain, mud, grime, and PAINTBALLING!! These are pretty hardcore boots. They are all black with a nubuck rim. I can wear ankle socks with them because Nubuck is exremely soft and comfy on my skin. They have a yellow leather insole and that will stain your socks for the first year but after that it is just smooth sailing after that.

I have to give these shoes a 10/10 because of their overall comfort and durability. They cost over $100 US so they are expensive but worth the use they bring. I will only get rid of them when they litterally fall apart. I might want to get a nice pair though. There are so many ways to customize your own style. They can match anything you want. Build your own!! I want to do that. 2+ years with only one pair of boots is a great value and with such comfort, it is worth it!!

BUY THESE BOOTS... if you want your feet to love you that is....

PS~ Shifts has the most old skool shoes ever. Those are pretty cool looking but I would not be able to wear them. At least someone can pull it off... ;D

I've recently become hooked on Ferragamo shoes, particularly the Tramezza line. I figured it was time to improve my sartorial wardrobe.

chuck taylors, always. the only other shoes i wear anymore are a pair of geoff rowley vans. i used to have some saucony jazz, etnies, and adidas sambas as well, but then i stopped wearing leather and suede, so obviously those don't get out much anymore.

Oh man shoes!!!! I love shoes OMG!! I have quite a few pair. It's funny because I was never in to shoes until I moved to MD. I never even wore heels until I moved here.

Now, I just love heels. Gucci is my favorite. I have a few pair and have my eye on some for the winter as well. I love Giuseppe Zanotti, Manolo Blahnik, Christian Lacroix, Pucci, etc. I plan to add some of these to my collection soon. I have mostly Gucci, Prada, D&G, Nine West, Bebe, etc. I'm 5'6". When I go out, I have to have on heels that are at least 3 inches. I love the way they make my legs look.

What's funny now is that my shoes are starting to cost waaaaaaaaayyy more than my whole outfit now!! I'm starting to feel like the lady who buys expensive shoes and cheap handbags to match. It's like blowin me, cause alot of my clothes are made by the same designers lol! Hell, the handbags are even worse. Throw some kind of reptile carcus on it and you would have to make a choice between paying your rent, car note, utilities, and food or get the shoes lol! It's crazy for real, but I really need those shoes. I really do LOL!

Wow. I posted a long time ago about my boots. I still wear Timberland Boots almost exclusively because of the previously stated positives of owning a pair. I have 2 more pairs of the boots now, one dark brown with a green trim(all nubuck), and one Timberland color(all nubuck).

I have extended the fassion to include some Nike Dunks with rediculous patterns for unique quality and extreme comfort. All my foot apparrel is high top (boots, dunks), except for work and running shoes. I like the high ankle support even though I don't tie my shoes in the first place.

That is my style. I'll get a picture up eventually. It works with my weird sense of fashion. Just thought I'd add my new input.

Who else has something they wear that is out of the norm??

I've got 6 pairs of Asics Onitsuka Tigers in different colors. Very 80's - looking. My faves are the orange stripe on blue and white, white stripe on grey snake print, and light grey on white.

I'll post a pic. I like to line them all up and pretend that I'm Usher or Lil' Bow Wow.
    Lately I've been wearing:
Windsor, Bois de Santal, Original Santal, Elixir, Douro, Endymion, Reflection, Arcus, Marwah

For many years I only owned and wore one style of shoe - The Stacy Adams "Madison" lace up boot. I think in total I went through about 15 pair of them before deciding to move onto something else. They were quite literally the ONLY shoes I wore, regardless of occasion. I walked 10+ miles a day in them, every single day and wore them to pieces rather quickly.

WARNING: The following photos may encourage you to spritz a bit of your SOTD toward your monitor!

I've since amassed quite a collection of shoes and continue to beat them to death and wear them into the ground. I purchased a nice pair of black Alden oxfords for $3.14 at a local thrift store that I've been punishing daily for the last few months.

    Current summer rotation:
    Allen Edmonds - Capri loafers
    Cole Haan - loafers
Johnston & Murphy - monk strap

    Winter:
    Allen Edmonds - Park Avenue
Alden - monk strap in shell cordovan
    same Johnston & Murphy's

    Casual:
    Alden walking shoes
    Doc Maarten shoes
    Florsheim Imperial loafers

I'll probably buy another pair of Alden shell cordovans in black when the Brooks sale rolls around late this month.

I wear heels for work, and I love wearing high-heeled boots in the fall & winter.
But for casual wear with jeans & a t-shirt, I wear skater shoes, preferably Adio:

    Shoe Arsenal:

    - Optical White Hi Top Chuck Taylors (used scissors to cut them down to low tops)
    - Black Monogram Lo Top Chucks
    - Navy Blue Hi Top Chucks which I spray painted the shoe laces gold.
    - Limited Edition Tanned Chucks with inner fur lining (to keep my toes warm in the winter, regular chucks don't do that)
    - Black & White Checkered Slip on Vans (don't wear them often, but I reach from them when I'm in a hurry to put something on)
    - Tanned Desert Boots (friend gave them to me when he bought them in Spain, last pair in a size smaller than his feet. He thought he could expand them, but it never happened and I got them.

    And more recently:

I believe the most I ever spent on a pair of shoes, but I walk a lot and take public transportation so I needed some really comfy shoes. I was speaking to a fellow basenoter friend and she recommend "Campers". I roamed the site and found a pair I liked. Spanish based but I ordered from their New York store. The most comfy shoes I've every worn, they feel like slippers, it also has advanced shoe technology...absorbs sweat and molds to the shape of your foot.

Only thing is, they're new now, and I never liked the look of new shoes, I think it adds character when they're a little roughed up.

I have been very naughty, I bought a pair of Repetto. Even though I am super broke from fixing the pipes and straightening things up at home. Repetto is a French company which is famous for making ballet and dancing shoes. They are light and flexible and comes in variety of colours. I bought this at a sale. (The picture doesn't show the real colour, it is supposed to be a metallic glittery purpleish blue)

    Love them!

I don't have enough shoes. I have lots of kids and having kids sort of put a curb on my shoe collection. I have 3 pairs of boots, I love boots, I remember favorite boots like they are old friends and sometimes I pine for them! It's true! When I was a kid I always brought my new shoes to bed with me, I would leave them on my pillow beside me so I could look at them and smell them. What kind of shoes a man wears can be and has been a deciding factor in weather or not I fancy them. I have size 2 shoe, which is a 35. I love Italian shoes and they make small sizes. I love strappy sandals, I love shoes that are uncommon. I love shoes! I love high heels but I can't walk in them. I miss my favorite shoes.

LOL at them worn out ass chimney cleaner boots...

Anyways. For my own style I tend to go very very plain. I used ot be a very very avid "shoe head" I used to have a pair of shoes to match any color outfit I had. Then I started having to pay for my own sh*t... That put an abrupt stop to that. I love Air forces 1 nikes in low tops. IMO They're classic. I also like K-Swiss classics.. those are comfortable, stylish and above all affordable. Pumas are another shoe I like. I'm also a huge Timberland boot fan. The wheat color originals went with almost anything casual. Blue jeans and a tee-shirt and Timbos son!. of course I'm young and sport my clothes differently than you old folks but hey...
I'm so fo sho' it's no facade/ Stay out of trouble momma said as momma sighed/ For her fear her youngest son be a victim of homicide/ But I gotta get you out of here momma.. Or I'm gonna die..Inside...So either eay you lose me momma/ So let loose of me!
