Default Speaking some more about wallets...

How many does a gentleman need?

In addition to my beloved Mandarina Duck I have a very formal Dent's in tan leather; a black leather but slightly more casual John Richmond and a small credit card wallet by John Rocha.

I think that may be too many.  Should I go to the wallet abuse clinic for rehab?

No, Trotsky, but you should tell us why, Trotsky, one man should have four wallets, Trotsky, and other men have none, Trotsky.

Because they are a nice thing to have and because, as with a scent, you need a different one for formal/informal. Chris - you obviously don't think a WOTD would really catch on!

It's already enough of an ordeal for me to transfer everything from my old wallet to my new one whenever I replace it (probably once a year). I can't imagine transferring the contents on a daily basis!

I have to confess to having a formal wallet, two informals, and a money clip. Do I need help?

Certainly not, Rick. Who is the designer/maker of the clip? I have been thinking about one for evenings.

My money clip is made by Dalvey. I have several other of their items (clock, lighter, pocket watch, etc.).
I got them from The Gentleman's Shop website. They have quite a lot of nice things to chose from.

I have one wallet that I use, it's the best one I've ever found - by Comme des Garcons, like a "unifold" - it's the size of a bifold except with a zipper on two sides closing it that opens to reveal a credit card slot in the center and the money fits around that. I do have two "backups" I've found for when this one dies because I love this wallet so much!

i cant see myself having lots of wallets. It's just such a hassel to switch all my cards from one to the other.

Well it would be a hassle to transfer all the stuff in between wallets. But then again, one shouldn't really be stuffing the wallet too much anyway (something I'm very guilty of doing). Think I should get a man's bag instead.

    Post Christmas update

I have been lucky enough to add a Geo Trumper silver money clip to my collection.
