    Hey markc,

How are you doing the parings? I would have thought that the top seed would hit the bottom seed in each region. Then the other match-up would be the two middle seeds. Am I wrong? I'm just curious because I want to understand. Can you explain it?

    Thanks,
    whitebar

No problem whitebar. The original field was 64 just like the ncaa tournament and they do not get reseeded after each round. If there were no upsets at all to this point the case you described would be exactly that. So for example in the 1st round all the 1 seeds played the 16 seeds and the winner played the winner of the 8 vs 9 seeds. All the 2 seeds in each region played the 15 seeds and the winner played the winner of the 7 seed vs 10 seed. Hope this answers your question.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Hey Mark,

Thanks for explaining this to me. I read what you said and then went and looked at the 2006 Big Dance bracket and it all makes sense to me now. I also want to thank you for all of your work on this. It has really been fun! Next time I'll offer up some nominations.

    Whitebar,

Thanks for your kind words. In the future, I hope to get more suggestions on how teams should be nominated because that seemed to be one complaint, that teams were in it that shouldn't have been and teams that should have were not. Aside from that I do think we have had some good matchups and a few really close contests that has made for some excitement.
