    Default Tiki type scents?

What kind of scent would you say has a Tiki island or a Tiki bar kind of feel? Kind of a Hawaiian, Polynesian, Exotica lounge music type of scent.

Funny that I should come across this topic, I just put on a sample of MPG Bahiana and thought "This would be PERFECT for having tropical drinks on the beaches of Hawaii." It features a wonderful blend of pineapple and mandarin with the kind of sweetness and brightness I expected out of ananas fizz. In fact this blows ananas fizz out of the water. I'll be suggesting a group purchase (3.3 oz. maybe 6 people @ 1/2 oz. each) of this on the sell/swap board soon.

most definately. smelled it once, wish it were available. Similarly you have the coconut-that-is-actually-fig in Marc Jacobs.
I also find Bvlgari Aqua to fit the bill, as its more flavorful than most aquas. Not so much fruity, so it doesn't fit exactly the mixed-drink-with-an-umbrella direction the thread has taken, but it has a spiciness that I feel suits a beachside Lu'au by moonlight.

    Hello Jowcoffee:
Givenchy makes one Incense Hawaii (or something like that). It's not distributed in the US, but it is in Asia or Europe. Hate to be so vague .
I'd love to score a sample.
I can just about hear the surf off Diamond Head. Hey, is that Martin Denny?

    Agree with Kenzo Jungle.

Estee Lauder's Beyond Paradise is an excellent one for a tropical feeling.

A company called Comptoir Sud Pacifique makes a line of fragrances inspired by French Polynesia (basically Tahiti). Check out their website:

    www.comptoirsudpacifique.us*

Click on the Fragrance Menu on the website. The Spice Route and Rain Forest categories are more slanted toward men. Only thing is, the stuff's not cheap!

Obsession Night has a pear note on top that smells surprisingly like coconut.

Only thing I can think of, sorry. Though if you wanted something tropical, but not fruity or loungey, bay rum would fit the bill... ;D
