Hi again all,
* Thank you all again for your kind words and good wishes! *I'll tell ya truthfully, it's members like YOU that make me proud to be a member here at Basenotes!
I can't tell you how much I have LEARNED about fragrances from you ALL.
Everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) I have learned of fragrances is due to BASENOTE members (past and present). *When I joined BN three years ago, I had *ZERO knowledge of Fragrances/Fragrance Houses. *Thanks to so many wonderful and GENEROUS members, I feel as if I have become somewhat of a CONNOISSEUR of Fragrances! *While I haven't the skill to wax elegant about fragrances (like many of our other BRILLIANT members) I AM passionate, VERY PASSIONATE about what I like! *I'd like to think over the last three years that I have learned to develope a good, REAL GOOD nose for fragrances. *So, I thank you all again and remember : "The eye may lie, the lip may slip, but, the NOSE knows!" *Wear the fragrances YOU like! *
Tom- all the best to a passionate Basenoter and a great guy! Your BN friend, Stu

Congrats on 3 years! I've always dug your posts and your one of a kind style. You really sparked my interest in some of the so called "stink frags." When I think of L'Eau Bleue Issey, I think it was you that intrigued me to try it. And of course...any friend of Kouros is a good pal of mine.
This board has seen alot of people come and go, glad to see a good guy like you who is also in it for the long haul! And once again, best wishes to you and to your wife on a speedy full recovery!

Many Happy Returns! *
Congrats 6Kats on 3 years. I hear you and totally feel you.
Me before basenotes -> 5 fragrances in collection
Me after basenotes (Joined Feb. 23, 2006) -> 17 (those reviews in the directory kill my wallet, the moment I see a frag getting so many compliments and thumbs up, I have to rush to the nearest store and try it out and if I like it i buy it).
Stu, Wom, Indie, Ez, CyA, THANKS so much for you good wishes and kind words.
CyA, welcome to the MADNESS! I was so glad to see that you QUALIFIED your comments about buying fragrances that gets LOTS of compliments and receives THUMBS UP! You said the KEY phase "if "I" like it, I buy it!". Great approach!

Best Wishes and as you sign,
You know, in the half year Ive been here, Ive noticed that lots of memebrs come and go. Some people will show up, post 500 times in a month and never be heard from again. There's nothing wrong with this, as it just broadens the discussion and the pool of voices. But then there's the other folks, the veterans, who have been here forever and who give Basenotes its continuity and its enduring sense of fraternity (not in the collegiate beer bash sense, but in the original sense of the word). Its guys like you SixCats, and Magnifiscent and Buffalo_Gal, and 3 or 4 dozen other members (you all know who you are) who make Basenotes the place it is*. I'd like to send my appreciation out to all of you, for the way you take in dilletante newbies and usher them along their way to becoming fully fledged connoisseurs. For some, Basenotes (and frags in general) are a phase, but for you guys, its a lifestyle. I think I speak on behalf of many when I say that this is the fold into which we recent recruits feel priveleged to be welcomed.
Congrats SixCats, and thanks to you all.
* I write this after browsing through the archives and seeing an old thread of Bnoters offering words of support during Mrs. SixCats' illness. Definately brought a tear to my eye.
That was one of the best posts I have read Phil, and I tell you this is the reason I got addicted to this site, the comradrie. *
