    Default Costume National Scent Intense

I'll be getting this one in a blind swap. It's described as very ambery, and i love amber!
Is this as strong as, say, Opium PH EDP? How's the sillage and lasting power? Any other thoughts on this fragrance?

    Thanks!

Both this and the original resembled a lot of CDG 2 IMO. I found it to be a bit floral for myself to wear, maybe feminine isn't the right word, but it certainly isn't all that masculine, a bit hard for me to pull it off. I dont want to get into the fine line between feminine and masculine now. [smiley=afro.gif]

I love this one. I find it more masculine than the original Scent. It is a very soft, romantic fragrance, appropriate for night and evening wear, but I suppose you could pull it off at work. There is certainly amber there, but it is well blended and tough to pull out individual notes. I get some musk, vanilla, amber, spices, and a little floral on the top notes. The floral is not at all overwhelming to me, and I have no problems wearing it.

Yeah, those would be my exact thoughts. Nicely blended, elegant scent.

CN SI is like a lighter version of DK Men - without heavy rubber note and more fruity - think of dried plum smell plus cedar and there you have it.

I found it exceedingly feminine. It has amber as a heavy note, but i don't get that at all. To me, it's a straight tea scent and that's about it. I could never find a spot to wear it. It's nice, but I don't see how it's a masculine scent by any stretch of the imagination.

OK, i'm finally wearing this now!
Feminine? Not really. Opium PH EDP is more femenine to my nose. It's an almost creamy, dark amber that manages to be somewhat transparent in its presentation. It's surely a sillage monster, but it's sillage in stealth mode...ondulating waves of amber hit your nose when you least expect it. Classy stuff.

    The verdict? Me likey! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
