Default What is a good spring/summer oriental?

I adore orientals but the ones I own are a bit too heady for hot weather. Are there any good summer options?

I live in Singapore, so I can totally agree with L'Instant. Other good "heat" colognes are Chrome, Brit and Very Irresistable.

Guerlain L'Instant smells amazing on me until it mixes with my sweat. Then it turns pungent. What a pity because that's what's probably stopping me from buying it. :-[
    No longer offering decants. Sorry!

Opium Eau d'Orient is tricky... On some cooler days it's ok. But on the hot and humid scorchers, it goes cloying.

I find Geir and Laguna suitable for spring and summer. Musc Alize is a borderline oriental that's also good in warm weather.

L'Artisan Patchouli Patch would probably work in summer...

Yup! Works very well, but the longevity is poor.

I'm reaching for Jicky when I'll be craving an Oriental in the Spring/Summer.

a light misting of Geir. Brit works well too, owing to its bright and fresh opening notes. Also, Dior Homme. I find it a hipper take on L'Instant.

Many Basenoters have commented on the short longevity of many L'Artisan fragrances... but I have found that Patchouli Patch is quite long lasting - especially by L'Artisan standards.
I suppose, once again, skin chemistry makes its mark...
