Default What to wear this summer?

What would be the best summer scent to wear this summer 2006, in your opinion?

    Thanks

    Hmmm... good question

I'm very undecided :-? but I'll take these in consideration:

Jicky Edt (I use the Edp in fall/winter) - lavender based
Monsieur de Givenchy - classic verbena citrus
Jil Sander for Man (which I already own) - fresh peppery non citrus
    Kouros (for torrid nights)
AP Passage d'enfer (which works well in the heat)
Diptyque - L'Ombre dans l'eau (a refreshing rose and cassis leaves scent)

It's practically an impossible question to answer! What's "best" will depend on the individual. If you'd like reommendations for yourself, it would be good to have more info, like what types of scents you like to wear, how old you are, what climate you live in, work or school, etc.

For you, who is just starting out, I would recomend the following:

    Cool Water
    Tommy T
    Chrome
    Bvlgari Aqua
    Armani Mania
    Polo Sport

Those are some basics that will get you started in introduce you to more "high Class" scents...

I'm not going for new releases: Guerlain's Vetiver, l'Eau de l'Artisan and Rose Poivrée will be my scents for the summer of 2006. And when it's really scorching, I'll pull out my Philosykos.

I'm not going to make you any suggestions, although I do believe it's not totally useless; some scents are better than others.

I'm probbaly going to wear most fragrances I own next summer, for it's not always all that scorching here in Finland, but whe it's really hot, atleast the following scents work very well; GFT, Original Vetiver, Angeliques sous la Pluie and Baïme. Remember that also non-citrus scents can be really refreshing! There was thread about this subject few days back, I think it's worth looking into.

L'Homme de Coeur and Yerbamate are fragrances I think I'll wear alot summer nights, I don't know why they seem so appropriate for that.

And I have to mention; my SotD Racine is also excellent when it's warm, but I don't consider it to be exclusively summer scent.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I'll be on the lookout

I have already tried and owned many fragrances and don't have a personal favorite yet,
as there is always something new and exciting that comes up every now and then

M7 Fresh is worth a smell if you can find it.

I'm personally looking forward to Philosykos and I need to buy a new citrus. I'm leaning toward GFT based on longesvity alone, but I have long list of citruses to smell.

i am on the prowl for a hot weather scent for this summer. i may have found it already though: Etro - Anice. i sampled at Bergdorf. "starts out out with the distinctive, spicy aroma of Anise, the luminous scent of bergamot and rosewood it is followed by the heady scent of jasmine, vivacious hints of fennel and caraway and the intense notes of iris. warm bottom notes of vanilla, musk and amber linger on the skin." quote is from www.aedes.com *smells like sambuca or ouzo, very boozy! yum.

I just bought Hugh Parsons Traditional and I can teel this one is going to be great for Summer!

It has some nice, sparkeling citrus notes, but also has the comlexity of pepper, juniper, sandelwood, cedar and ambergris (which almost gives it a Creed like feel).

I'm really looking forward to some warmer weather!
