Thread: Speak German?

    Default Speak German?

In first-in-fragrance.com (http://www.ausliebezumduft.de/), you can buy "Abfüllung" for every fragrance. What does "Abfüllung" mean?

The word means "filling" so it is probably a colloquialism. That's my stab at it. Mein Deutsch is geschlecht.

It would be a decant. That's my take on it.

    I'm german...

It's decant. "Abfüllung" means "to fill from".

That's right "Abfüllung" means decant. By the way, if ordered a few times from them and their service is absolutely perfect. They may not be the cheapest but they offer a really fast and personal service. Well I live right next to Germany and usually the order reaches me within one or two days. When you order a full bottle you can have a few decants at no cost extra.

I recently ordered from them and they have the best customer service I have ever found, period. When you order a bottle you can request 3 samples at no charge, and the decants have a decent size, not those 1 ml tiny vials. Besides, as a gift they included a very nice felt-covered notepad with their logo on it. Klassy germans!

What type of sample vials have they got? Atomizer? Size?
    Looks very interesting!

5ml atomizers... Everyone else seem to get full samples when they order from them, but for me they have always been less than half full for some reason. I still love them though and their customer service is excellent.

    Use the loud speak:

    Abfüllung
    Abfuellung

    is

    upfilling ( up filling)

    is

    seperate filling = extra decant

    thats it!

As far as I know, firstinfragrance always fills less than half full. I think it's about 2 or 3ml.

Thanks for all who provided the definitions. I ordered a few decants together with a full size frag. I'll post my experience with them soon. They're really very promising. Within 24 hours, my order was dispatched. I live in the US, by the way.
