Default  Comme des Garçons' latest subversive duo

French fashion brand Comme des Garçons has unveiled its latest fragrance creation, a unisex duo inspired by its ephemeral Guerrilla store concept. For Guerrilla 1, Marie-Aude Couture (Givaudan) was inspired by one such store, in a former butcher's shop in Berlin, Germany, she tells Cosmeticnews.com. The scent is constructed around a heart of champaca flower, with spicy and vetiver notes, and is intended to evoke the smells of a butcher's world. Guerrilla 2, signed Nathalie Feisthauer (also of Givaudan), is inspired by the color red, reflected in its packaging. It opens with bergamot, pink pepper and ginger, has a heart of red chili pepper, turmeric, raspberry and tuberose.

The scents come in black bottles, which are housed between six foam dummy bottles (in black and red for Guerrilla 1 and 2 respectively) in black or red packaging. The products, which will be sold in Comme de Garçons points-of-sale, as well as its Guerrilla stores that open for a period of less than a year and are run by local partners well-known among their target client-group.

There will be no collaboration with Spanish group Puig, which distributes the more mainstream Comme des Garçons 2 scent in an expanded network worldwide, Comme des Garçons director of development and production for fragrances Isabelle Durand tells Cosmeticnews.com.

Guerrilla 1 and 2 will launch worldwide in May, priced €89 for the 85ml.

For me it`s quite easy to just let these two newcomers be by themselves...

I`m just impatiently waiting that new, hopefully forthcoming CdG line called "Animals".

    animals ..... interesting
    but i don't get cdg's logic
    are these perfumes profitable?????
    there are sooooooo many
what s the point in that
you start to love a fragrance and after a while it wil be discontinued
i m afraid they are suprasaturating the market
though their fragrances are quite unique and amazing
