    Default Idole de Lubin?

I've seen posts about this frag here, and I just read about it on the Luckyscent site. It sounds pretty interesting.

I have two questions maybe somebody can help me with:

    1. It's listed with the women's scents, but it doesn't sound very floral. If you've smelled it, would you say it's a shared scent?

    2. What the !@*# is "Doum palm"?

Thanks for any hep you guys can give!

I can't answer #1. I've only heard it smells very "boozy."

    As for #2: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doum_palm

    1) I don't know where you looked, but it's listed as a male fragrance on BN. This one was meant to be released as a masculine one and they wanted to release a female version later this year also, but as lot of women liked to buy and wear this version, so they decided to release only this one.So ,I guess you could say it's unisex, for now I think, but maybe they will release a womens version, who knows.

I mailed Lubin with the exact question , and I got this answer.

    2) I guess it's some kind of wood, or wood balm.

This is a masculine scent IMO, thought not an overwhelming one. The doum palm gives it a very special aroma, a mix of woody, smoke and spicy component. I find this scent very appealing and intriguingly sophisticated. A success for Olivia Giacobetti, I think.

I agree with this sentiment almost in its' entirety, except to say that a woman can definitely wear it. My wife really likes it and I really like it on her. I do not find it particularly boozy, especially when compared to D'Orsay's Le Dandy, Michael for Men, and DK Men Fuel (upon initial application).
