Good luck Indie. I'll miss your stories. Hope to see you back soon.
I'm really a mess. It doesn't bear going into, but I hate my life right now and I'm desperate to turn things around.
I've made a list of things to do, and one of them is to put ALL of my fragrances except maybe 10, into a big box, tape it up, put it somewhere far away, and not touch it for at least a month. I'm also going to be staying away from Basenotes for at least a month. I just need to focus on my direction. This stuff is a distraction that I need to avoid.
I've made up my mind to ban myself from B'notes until April 1st-So If you see me around here, even so much as logging in, please kick my ass real good.
Here are the ten fragrances I'm keeping for work and going out, while I put the others into storage:
*Jo Malone-Amber and Lavender
*Paul Smith London
(hey, pretty decent for a desert island ten- I purposely had to leave out stuff like Kouros because it could cause a Basenotes relapse! )
So, in advance, Happy St. Patrick's Day to all you GIT fans.
It's funny, now that I think about what today is...Mardi Gras (And here in St. Louis, the third largest celebration of Mardi Gras after Rio de Janeiro and New Orleans). So I guess, coincidentally, I'm giving up fragrances and Basenotes for Lent (Even though I'm not religious anymore). So I guess I'll make it official and stay away til Easter at least. Put it this way, I'm not coming back until I get a few serious things ironed out. It may be an indefinite amount of time. I don't know.
Time for me to roll up my sleeves and get to work. I'll really miss you guys and girls.
Peace out, smell ya' later!

Best of luck to you too, Indie. I'm thinking of probably taking a month off, too. :-/
Are you not entertained??? Is this not why you are here??
Best of luck, Indie. *I hope things work out well for you.
Good Luck, Indie. I'll miss your stories. Oh, and v. good choices of fragrances.
It sounds like a sort of Lent after Mardi Gras...
I hope it will help you to find out your way!
Good luck Ted!

Why don't you put ALL your frags away for a month and give not only your soul, but also your nose a good spring cleaning??????
: : : :
Good luck and see you later then.
It's curious indeed that you have decided to start your retreat on Ash Wednesday!
Is Basenotes becoming some sort of religion? You've given me something to think about!
Anyway, I hope this period of reflection does you good. Will be waiting for your comeback.

Goodbye Indie - We look forward to your return!
every time I wear Rive Gauche, I'll think of you!
Peace, Indie. Stay in the day and you'll be great. Nothing to worry about tomorrow, all you have is today, make it a great one. Be brilliant.

Good Luck bro.
Do what you have to, but please come back - I and I know many others love your stories and you are one of our most valuable members.
That is the only problem with Basenotes - it's got such an interesting, diverse, pleasant and generally good willed crowd - that it is very easy for it to at times become a mechanism for procrastination in one's life.
I'm concerned that you say you hate your life - while no doubt there are always some things that could be better or a lot better in it, I think it important that you also acknowledge that plenty of good things do happen in it, as evidenced by the bits of it you've shared with us.
Good luck and come back soon !

Good luck Indie. I am going through a really rough time in my life right now at the moment as well, so i know how you feel. You just gotta keep your chin up and keep on going man, that's one thing i've learned...Another thing i've learned is that no matter what, no one can help you but yourself, and it seems like you're doing a good job with that by trying to change things yourself. Troubles will come...and they will pass.
Take care of your life and hope to see you around soon!
Hope it all works out for you.
Indie, if you can turn your life around in 30 days you need to write a book.
Happiness is like a butterfly, becoming more elusive as you pursue it. Turn your attention to other things, and it will come to sit on your shoulder.

Except, if its a thirty day program at a rehab treatment center, that can work.
Please, spritz responsibly.
Good Luck Indie, sort out what you need to sort out, and come back when you are ready. We will be here for you when you come back and will welcome you with open arms
I enjoy reading your posts, and look forward to doing it again.
Life can be messy sometimes. Good luck sorting it out, and take care!
Is this based on personal experience?Except, if its a thirty day program at a rehab treatment center, that can work.
All these moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Good luck dude and come back soon.

As always, take care of yourself.....I feel you are making a good choice. Take a little time away. Step back. Rethink. Hey man, whatever it takes. Be true to yourself......be true to those around you. You'll be fine.
