Default Thoughts on Michael, Iquitos & Cuiron

    I now own these three.

Michael - WOW! I can't figure out whether it's 'Venom' to Antaeus's 'Carnage' or the other way around (This reference is intended only for geeks like me).

Iquitos - weird. It's very strong at first and soapy. It has a pleasing smell after about 20-30 minutes. You have to get very close to discern it, however once you do it is a bit overwhelming. A very full-bodied scent. I don't think it's everyone's cup of tea - but that could be said about anything. I'm not sure about this one.

Cuiron (Helmut Lang) - smells like cars. After a hard day of unproductivity, I had a bath and gave this stuff a go.
It was like being in a time machine.
All of a sudden I am 13 and on a long drive.
My mouth starts watering and I feel nauseated.
Those funny 'anti-nausea/ pressure point' wristbands that my aunty Ingrid advised me to wear are not working.
The smell of the car interior brings back memories of petrol stations which brings back memories of the nausea getting worse which reminds me of how motion sick I get.
    I'm perspiring.
    Someone pulls the car over.
I watch the orange I'd recently eaten greet the road.

Please note that unlike the people who think of emesis when they smell Kouros, I am reminded of long car journeys when I smell Cuiron. From then on it's a process of association that brings me to the vomit. In and of itself Cuiron does not smell of regurgitation. In fact if I wear it for an hour and then layer it with a floral, it smells quite nice.
Like a car filled with flowers - like a hearse.

    Haha, I get the reference!

And I also agree. It really is the good stuff. It looks even better when you realize you'll probably never smell it on anyone (well, at least I haven't.) But pssttt.... keep it a secret.

We must be the only geeks then.

I hope this rumour is true:
