    Default Nautilus - Black Marlin

I came across a big bottle of Black Marlin going very cheap today. As a fan of Nautilus Aqua I was keen to test it out.

My first thought was "Interesting, but not in the same league as Aqua".

Five minutes later I smelled my forearm again and thought "Yuk"

Twenty minutes later, I thought "Hmmm - not to bad, has strong similarities to A*men"

An hour and twenty minutes later "I really don't like this one, it's a loud cheap clone of A*men".

Two hours later, as I write this, I think it's toned down a bit, but still wouldn't buy it or recommend it.

    Have you tried it?
What are your thoughts, am I being too harsh on it?

I have been looking for this one for some time, just to add to the collection, but I have never smelled it. I too, like Nautilus Aqua, ad that is what piqued my interest. Could you please advise me as to where you were able to obtain Black Marlin? Thanks, Mark

    Hi Mark,
Scents are sold in most pharmacies here in Australia, and they all have a section with the cheap copy scents. I usually give that section a quick scan to see if there are any not so well known designer brands that have been put there. And that was where I saw the Black Marlin that I tested - the 100ml bottle ( a black version of the Aqua bottle) going for A$30 (US$22).

I would love to have a bottle of Black Marlin. *I once smelled this wonderful scent on a elevator and notice it was coming from this young Italian guy a girl on the elevation commented he smelled good he replied it was Black Marlin.

I see it on the web but no sites that sell it to the USA its been over two years I've been looking for it with no luck. >

Oddly enough, I tried yet another spritz of Black Marlin the other day. Perhaps it was because the day was cooler than the last time I tried it, or perhaps I got used to a note I didn't like initially, but I wasn't averse to it as I had been. I won't say I like it a lot now, but it does have something kind of interesting in it.

Well, after nearly two weeks of spraying some Black Marlin on my arm whenever I walked past the chemist shop that had it, I figured that there must be something about it that grabs me - so I bought it.
