    Default Empty decant vials?

Sorry guys (and gals), I know this has been posted before, but I did a search and couldn't come up with it.

Where are some good online sites where I can get empty glass decant vials or atomizers. I'm particularly interested in the roll-on decants that are usually 1/3 oz or so, since I feel you get better control with them.

    Thanks [smiley=embarassed.gif]

For 1/3 oz. spray vials, go with E.D. Luce http://www.essentialsupplies.com/ (click on glass, and then specialty glass perfumes). The frosted glass with spray vials are the best I've seen yet, and I've tried several different companies. They don't leak, either!

This is the one you're looking for:

    Good luck!

www.madinaonline.com Their 1/3 oz. rollons are the best. They never leak and handle shipping very well. They are also reasonably priced.

What's wrong with madinaonline.com 's atomizers? They're so cheap and tempting! But if there's really something wrong with it, then obviously I won't buy. [smiley=undecided.gif]

The atomizers at madina aren't consistent. Sometimes the atomizer doesn't screw onto the vial properly, and some of them leak, as many here at basenotes can attest to.

I haven't had *any* problems with the E.D. Luce atomizers after sending out many decants within this community. I can't say that for the Madina ones. BTW, I'm only talking about the 1/3 oz. Madina vials. Their 1 oz. vials seem to be fine.

    Cheers,

The 1 oz atomizers are fine its jsut the 1/3 which don't always screw on properly like Octothorpe said. I never realized the problem until i had almost a whole decant leak in the mail. The ED Luce atomizers are nice and never had one leak but Julian told me some leaked when I sent him an expensive decant he said its through the sprayer but not the part that screws on. Anyone else have this problem?

You can get free 2ml sample bottles off department stores and you can actually refil those
I especially love the spray type vials. They make perfect travel size bottles and all for FREE
It feels like it won't open but don't twist but just simply pull the top bit and it comes out without breaking and you can fill it up and just cap it back on and spray whereever you go!

One trick I have learned is to wrap teflon tape (plumbing supplies) around the threads of the bottle. This works if this interface is the source of the leak. The madina rollons don't suffer from this problem but some atomizers do. Other atomizers leak from the internal ball/spring mechanism and I haven't found a work-around for this.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I figured this would be the best place to ask.

I've been looking around for some empty decant bottles, and came across a bunch of "roll-on" type bottles. Now, I perfectly know what an atomizer is, and does. But a roll-on? please enlighten me!

Also: does anyone know of a store that would sell atomizers/roll-ons around montreal? I don't have a credit card (I can't, i'd be too tempted to buy too many things!) and I'm not all that comfortable with borrowing a friend's.

    Thanks in advance

Rollons are like the old deodorant bottles. They have a glass base with a plastic ball at the top that rolls in a cup and allows the transfer of fluid to the skin. Rollons allow for a very measured and targeted application. Some will argue that the scent can be corrupted by the exchange of oil from your skin with the perfume. I have yet to experience this. I tend to prefer rollons because they do allow for a more controlled application.

Has anyone had experience with the Le Melange (www.lemelange.com) 1/3 oz atomisers or roll-ons?
The atomiser is actually 12ml and is plastic (PSVIAL12), while the roll-on is glass (B13ROLB).

    Thanks.

Sorry for the second post but...

I have just read that some 1/3 oz roll-ons have an optional atomiser that can be attached.
Does anyone know who sells this type of bottle?

    Thanks.

So madinaonline.com appears to require a minimum $20 purchase, which means if I only want empty 10ml roll-on bottles, I have to order at least 84 of them. Does anyone know a good solution to this problem?

I have purchased from several sources (besides the aforementioned Mandini). Here are a few that come to mind:

    and on eBay...

    Check their Store

(I wish there were more sellers on eBay offering them... hint, hint...)
