Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both and be one traveler, long I stood and looked down one as far as I could to where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, ...... I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost

Domenico Caraceni - Domenico Caraceni pour Homme
Fantastic perfume which is the same since its creation in 1934.No reformulations.
My both grand fathers, my father, uncles and my oldest cousins used to wear it.
POUR UN HOMME is like a person of my family, always present, and i love it
Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

Miller Harris Tangerine Vert today. This is almost a great scent but there's some weird note in the background that keeps me from wearing this more. I wish I could pinpoint what it is.
Christopher Sheldrake's El Attarine (Serge Lutens)
L'AIR DU DÉSERT MAROCAIN
reminds me a great deal of the Benetton scent all the rich kids at my school wore in the *ahem* late '80s

Catching up, yesterday's SOTE was my first test of I Profumi di Firenze Muschio Bello (continuing with my testing of things I could possibly buy on the big SF meet-up).
Sadly, another loser for me. Giant, unrepentant baby powder. Followed later by that specific white musk they use in soaps, still buried under that baby powder. Like the smell of stepping out of a shower and dousing yourself in powder, but multiplied times a hundred. Not for me, but I'm sure someone somewhere dearly loves this.
