All of a sudden a sit down with Olivier seems reasonable. Then again, I wonder if, like the Creed articles have said, that they'll turn you down if they don't like your vibe.

63,000 imo, even if you are rich that would be excessive.
gee I could get 2500 bottles of xs for that,hmm...
if I wore it every day it would last me around 4000 years,
hmmm...,think I'll get thirty bottles of xs and a vette with the
    leftover

If you think about it, it takes quite some time and effort to create and perfect a mass market frag. I suppose you just don't slap it together and it's ready for you the next day. My problem is that I just can't be satisfied with ONE frag, not even one per season!

Having one unique frag made for me to call my very own sounds something so special though.

I've heard Lorenzo Villoresi does this also. Anyone know how much for him to do it? And yeah what about Olivier Creed?

Hasn't a lot of perfume houses made fragrances for one person? I think Creed has made many for royalty and stuff.

DING DING DING! We have a winner!

Fragrances, as I'm sure many of you know, can cost upwards of millions of dollars to develop, produce, and market. Even though marketing can take most of the budget it still can be $500,000 just to finalize the bottle design. So yeah, $63,000 doesn't sound so bad anymore, does it?

Would you really trust that? A scent created on the basis of a questionnaire.

It'd make more sense if you went in and worked directly with the artist.

You can. You just have to go to her place in Colorado. You can call her if you are interested. From the bottom of her questionare page:
"If you live in or are traveling through the Boulder, Colorado area please call for an appointment for your custom fragrance at (720) 563-0344."

For the $63,000 that Patou wants I imagine that you will be able to command her undivided attention for quite a number of weeks.

CORRECT! Sorry that I left out that they would consult with you and work on it for 1 year.

yeah but they don't need to market or mass produce a personalized frag. just mix up a big batch of it for you, and file the recipe away for future reference. and i doubt they are going to design a personalized bottle for you. the price tag is high to make it exclusive.

    I don't think it's worth the money.

One fragrance only fills but a small gap in each wardrobe.

You're better off using the money to buy fragrances that can fit every occasion in your wardrobe.
